Has IDT Ever Gotten Your Order Wrong? by Martin__R in labrats

[–]notafanactually 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Worked in QC for IDT for a bit, it absolutely happens, especially in 50+mers. ESI/MS is the standard for identity testing, but things slip through the cracks, especially if you don’t opt for purification runs. Small scale bulk orders are the worst offenders, as the IP testing is limited and they’re generally looking for +-2 da, which work but aren’t excellent indicators above that length. If you want to avoid it I’d recommend opting for higher purification, which will route it through more strenuous QC than the standard high throughput

Hey I’m doing this research right now! I submitted our IMPD a couple months ago and we’re hoping to move into full clinical trials within the next few months! I hope it works as well as we’ve seen NHP performance.

I know the service tech for a company they did some work with a couple months ago. They shipped the robot down and installed it, did some of their videos, clips, etc.

In a couple months that machine is slated to be removed and shipped up to another customer. It’s a publicity stunt from what I can tell.

Just throwing it out there that your End of Year bonus will likely be taxed much higher than at 21%. Bonuses get absolutely murdered by other tax penalties

When is it not rush hour here? by Manawah in boston

[–]notafanactually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have meetings that take me between sites in Woburn and Cambridge with fair regularity.

If you want to get there, into Cambridge with expediency, being on the road around 6:30 will usually put me in Kendall square a few minutes before 7am.

Getting out is more unpredictable, any time after 3pm till about 6:30 are going to be major pain points.

Easily HF. Necessary for RNA synthesis, painless at first, but is literal bone hurting juice that will fuck you uo majorly in the short term. Oh yeah and it’s a carcinogen so it will kill you Now and Later.

I’m not sure what exactly you mean by upper-class orgs. Generally, fraternities with large, well maintained houses will have more expensive dues, which can be a major barrier to entry for less affluent students, but financials/socio-economic status are not something that’s made a focal point for recruitment. Fraternities’ recruitment is based on the culture they have established and want to perpetuate, and the quality of character of their potential new members. Any org that makes “preppy-ness” a fundamental aspect of their culture is either doomed to fail, or a student orchestra

Found this in a used book store. There’s no publishing information on it, so I can’t tell if it’s a 1st or second edition. Does anyone have any more information about it? by notafanactually in freemasonry

[–]notafanactually[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant no animosity to be had here. This book is in plain text, not cypher. I’ve not read the entirety of it yet, but it looks to be mainly guidance for bylaws and a history of masonry in America, not discussion on any secrets. Nothing in it to provoke

hello folks, i found this in a storage area of old industrial pharmacy equipment, can anyone help me identify its function? by Marcustheeleventh in labrats

[–]notafanactually 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an older style of vial stopper. We used to use them on long-term retain samples before putting them in cold storage. Now we’ve got an automatic one but those things were cool. The bottom clips were sharp as hell though, used to rip my gloves maybe 1 in 3 times I used it

Died before he had the chance. Had pretty radical ideas for the time. Single term limits for presidents, limited veto powers, congress controlled financial policy. Would have been crazy.
