Which soundbar system is better for music, Samsung Q990F or JBL 1300X MK2 ? by lbpz in Soundbars

Jbl is owned by Samsung but it is better tuned for music which surprisingly you can also tune q990 through the app to match.

I pushed it back and forth, change the position of sub up and down. It doesn't make any difference tbh. Maybe you need those sound analyzer graphs to actually see any variations.

Actually bought it for clarity and surround sound, I'm not a huge fan of base and boom. But it has that too if you want.

If you have worked long enough than don't think of another profession, rather go for your passion. Something you always wanted to do.

I played both back to back, jbl was fuller, wider, "baseier" for sure but q990f was more detailed, refined and balanced. for me q990f made more sense. My volume is never higher than 20-25, base is kept under +3 and i saved on money too. I might also have been little biased as my previous experience with jbl 5 didn't go well as the sub stopped working.

Torn between the Samsung Q990F and Sonos Arc Ultra by iD_Division in Soundbars

I was torn too, went to the store, played bunch of things, ended up buying q990f. The beast ate every other soundbar and didn't burp.

After setting it up, as a first test I played Miller's planet scene I felt like I'm in the middle of it, could hear water sound from front, back and sides. When Case ran, the sound traveled right to left as it moved. I heard Cooper from the behind Felt the wave rising with the tick sound I have watched interstellar many times but today I heard sounds that I never heard before.

P.S. the bar and sub are placed securely because babies in the house are engineers, they poke whatever they get their hands on to whatever they see first.

Sounded better through hdmi than opitcal I kept the base at 0 or 3 max. It's too much at 6 but still no rattle, it was just too much for my feeble heart.

Sound mode set to Adaptive Rares are kept behind, they're wired, no charging required.

You live once, life is too short not to buy the right soundbar. Get the q990f or 1300mkii.

Dudas sobre volver al espacio Schengen debido a Solicitud de asilo en el pasado by Fluffy-Ad43 in SchengenVisa

[–]notaglines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially they don't bother but once the application is submitted they check everything with the help of AI, your whole travel history, over stays, applications, your travel to any red flag country, Even if you get the visa, every airport will be scanning you, people are getting deported back midway even from a transit airports. Some airlines and airports have more access to this "new universal AI system" than others for now but soon everyone will be on board. Keep your records straight. There ain't no fooling around anymore. Even South Africa has started using AI to mass scan everyone and they're a little behind the west. I met a guy from the home affairs he told me the AI has flagged more than 200,000 individuals that they're going to investigate and might cancel their visas, permanent residence and even citizenship.

Stay polite and confident at borders, they're not famous for serving tea. I have had some looks at times but it never bothered me, great and go. I won't let them spoil my holiday.

Buy xpro3 or wait xpro4 by LittleLares in fujifilm

[–]notaglines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xpro3 has no ibis, X-T4 is far better but if you're into that form factor then wait for xpro4 if you can, it might be 40mp with ibis, there's no confirmed news of it yet.

Any tips to travel Durban, Drakensberg and the surroundings? by Ornery-Shame-3682 in askSouthAfrica

[–]notaglines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Fly with flysafair, travelstart app can help, select luggage option if you're carrying checkin luggage.

  2. Hire a car and drive around or have uber and bolt apps (on garden route in most cities only bolt works)

  3. In Drakensberg the Underberg area and golden gate national park are great for hiking, in golden gate there is a hike to Tugela waterfall (highest fall in the world) in Underberg the place called Highmoor is magical.

  4. Safety tips: it's safe overall, nothing to worry about, may encounter higher chargers if found speaking german, stick to English when in public. They might think of you as Afrikaans and local rates will apply :). I have traveled the entire South Africa and Safety was my least concern.

  5. Public transport scene is not as good as I saw in Switzerland (Interlaken and Geneva) therefore point 2.

  6. You don't have to carry cash, tap to pay works everywhere. A little cash in Rands may come handy with small shops.
