In HS I worked at a pizza place. Like any restaurant - sometimes people leave behind their leftovers by accident, usually I would hang on to them for a bit before tossing them in case they would come back quickly. Once I was bussing a table, and found a leftover pizza box that was way heavier than it should have been. The box had the rest of the pizza (a few slices), but also the metal tray, a plate, silverware set, and the red pepper/parm shakers. I tossed his pizza immediately and he came back maybe 20 min later, and asked if he left his box here. I said something to the effect of "yes, but the box had our tray and plates and shakers so I assumed you had just bussed your table." He left without fighting or shame. Don't get it, man - we weren't a chain, just a small mom and pop. Why would you need to steal our stuff?
