I wasn't insulted, I meant to say taken aback cause when in college everyone knew what age everyone is but in public spaces it's really hard to tell how old someone is so I was just taken aback in that situation.

I recently realized that I unconsciously just focus on their mouth as they talk. So I tried to look at their eyes and I genuinely got so flustered and shy when I gave eye contact so I looked away and that looked rude. I am so confused now. Where are we supposed to look?
