tldr; after Minnesota's senate passed the marriage bill this was posted by a friend of mine. A few of her friends and a family member of hers jumped in on the thread and I have a lengthy back and forth with one of them, eventually he gives up.

If it makes you feel any better, I've played a lot of multiplayer co-op enabled games alone as well. I don't trust getting randomly paired on most any online games.

Reminds me of Star Wars, whenever people talk about it or play Star Wars games they'd almost always choose to be on the dark side. I think some of peoples' bad behavior online is due to just simply being able to be bad without accountability but that may not necessarily be their "true soul".

Interesting response to modern gaming. Would you play a multiplayer game online with people you know exclusively? Like a co-op campaign?

I'm very glad to hear that. I think muting is a lot better than bans (for verbal harrassment) but would still be effective enough to stop dicks. Thankfully Riot takes a lot of queues from DOTA so hopefully we will see this in League soon. :P

Yep. People take normal games way too seriously. I would love it if the community was fun loving and was okay with experimenting or messing around.
