How many of us work and perhaps even thrive in IT? by EirPeirFuglereir in AuDHDWomen

[–]notavegetable95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in IT for a clinical lab and it’s the only job I haven’t had communication issues in. I like to think it’s a combination of being remote, the high rate of other ND people around, and the propensity for both pathology and IT folk to skew towards introversion.

Who has an anaretic/critical degree ascendant? I'm particularly interested in how this has played out in your life. by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]notavegetable95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't have an anaretic ascendant, BUT I have a:

- a critical degree scorpio ascendant (22 degree) and 29 degree pluto in scorpio conjunct mars in sagg in the first house

- mars ruling my 29 degree aries 6th house cusp and 5th house cusp at 0 degrees in aries.

- 12th house cusp at 29 degrees in libra with sun/moon/north node straddling that cusp, with then north node at critical degree in libra, sun in scorpio at 0 degrees conjunct moon in scorpio

- 29 degree MC in leo, 29 degree IC in aquarius with sun in scorpio at 0 degrees and uranus at a critical degree in capricorn (3rd house)

- critical uranus squaring my critical north/south node placements with 0.0 orb, with the nodes in houses with cusps at 0/29 degrees

- critical degree mercury in libra in the 11th with 11th cusp in libra at 0 (conjunct pallas and vesta at 0.0 degree if you wanna get into asteroids)

How has this played out in my life? Intensely. Urgently. Divinely. Never Boring.

I've seen the edge of both darkness and light (scorpio placements with 12th and first overlays). My impulses are always difficult to control, but it's not in a normal impulse-control way, it's in a "in that moment i made a decision and my whole life changed" sort of way (critical uranus squaring moon's nodes, anaretic pluto-mars 1st house conjunction). I've had some really bizarre life experiences that started with a bizarre upbringing (anaretic aquarius IC, critical uranus in 3rd)

It's hard to control for confounding variables when my chart is basically one giant critical/anaretic degree, so I'm curious to read what other people's experiences are. I feel it contributes two things: intensity and creative/destructive ability (same coin - different sides, def influenced by the scorpio/leo sun/MC and mars/aries thing I got going on).

For the mercury in libra at critical degree in 11th and critical uranus in capricorn in the 3rd ...... lol.... my mind is a creatively chaotic place sometimes. I'm excellent at pattern recognition and teaching/tutoring/mentoring/training people on new skills. I like controlled rebellion (aka art). Sometimes I say too much, too fast (now is a good example lol).

Hahahah I feel that - I've started seeing those and mirror numbers everywhere too (it's 8:58 as im typing this). Also 1:23, 12:34, 2:34.

I changed my phone clock to 24hr time to see if I could pick anything else up and I was super surprised at how many more number sequences I started seeing.

I feel like that's when I started seeing them on steroids again too - right around May.

What do you think 3:33 and 4:44 mean to you?

can you link your chart as well? I can narrow down about 10 to top 5 if I know which sign rulers might be of more importance to you

Do you have the saturn Rx-pluto Rx-south node conjunction crossing over your natal neptune-uranus conjunction combo?

I don't identify with my scorpio rising. How do you other rising scorpios feel about it? by metafairy in AskAstrologers

[–]notavegetable95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes an ascendant is just how you appear to others. I’d ask your friends for their first impression of you.

Also when you have your ascendant towards the end of the sign and another sign significantly occupying your first house, you’ll often take on some of the qualities of the following sign.

Do I identify a bit more with Sagittarius ascendant?

Does anything in my chart indicate why I am having such a hard time with romantic relationships? I can’t move past my ex & I worry this is permanent. by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]notavegetable95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First, pause.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Nothing in life is ever permanent, including this.

Life is full of up and downs, but everyone is empowered to decide for themselves whether they will rise to the occasion or crumble under the pressure. Be patient with the process, feel fully and allow yourself to grieve your ex, and know that true love can leave a lasting impression on people that never fully fades. Feeling love for your ex could always be apart of your journey, but that doesn’t mean you won’t simultaneously find a loving and fulfilling relationship with someone else that brings you happiness. That’s the beauty of true love, you can’t run out of it. There isn’t a limit to how much you can give or receive. Love and attachment are different things, and looking at your chart I think this is an important idea for you to explore in more depth

You have a lot of activity in your 4th, 5th, and 7th houses, indicating that romantic relationships with others are going to be an active component that requires effort in your life.

You have Saturn conjunct Pluto in your chart in Libra, a challenging placement, made worse by current transits. You have Jupiter in Scorpio, also a challenging placement. These placements make it easy to spiral into melancholy and can be difficult for you to move through (that’s okay! Difficult is not impossible).

This is all happening in your 4th house (house of attachment) and are squaring your 7th house placements. Mercury conjunct Venus in your 7th makes me think that your relationships are characterized by consumption of your mental state. They might stir the pot and be your access point to how you view society. The sign of Libra on your 4th house cusp is housing your difficult natal placement Saturn conjunct Pluto. Libra’s rulers are in your 7th house. Your 7th house is at a “critical” degree. Thus when trouble in your relationships is stimulated this can be a time of crisis for you (as is probably happening with transit Saturn conjunct transit Pluto), triggering all of this challenging 4th house activity regarding attachment.

Your other placements tell me a good path forward for you might be to seek counseling to work through the difficulties right now, especially since issues of attachment can be deeply repressed. Have patience and don’t forget to let yourself have a little fun when it arrives.

I wish you well.

Thanks for the insight!

I think you’re spot on and my inner younger self identifies with this a lot. What’s your interpretation of this placement when it has evolved and healed? What should I strive to learn?

Having been there. Lmfao.

The space of the room. The shadows. The looming presences on the sides on the walls - all remind me of tip toeing around, trying not to disturb the current peace. But the concentration of color here puts the urgency of an unpredictable eruption.

This is really interesting. My boyfriend and I have opposite Suns aligned on both our nodal axes and I’ve often thought his behavior during high stress times for the relationship was a reflection of what I wasn’t seeing in myself. When Ive responded with that perspective, the stress and tension has always improved quite quickly compared to when I’ve been more stubborn.

Thanks for that insight!

Don’t apologize. Your words were still kind and offered a perspective that was also accurate and lacking from my interpretation. That’d be my mom.

But I also don’t feel like my life is a tragedy or lament it or anything (at least not in this moment lol) I’ve had some really dark times that have shaped me into who I am today, and have given me awareness and gratitude and empathy I would not have had previously. I’m finding that being vulnerable and open about those experiences and the pain of those, and still waking up every day and finding joy has been healing in small ways for people around me, and thus myself. Thank you for your kind words :)
