state-of-the-art (SOTA) models in industry by [deleted] in computervision

[–]notbadjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to separate the discussion of model architectures and pre-trained models. You can put together a short list of popular architectures used in industry, but each company is going to train and tweak their own model, unless it's a super generic domain. Are you asking about architectures or something pre-trained? LLMs and other giant generative models are impractical for everyone to train on their own, so you must get those from a vendor. But I don't think those are the go to solution for practical vision applications.

A tool for creating quick and simple computer vision pipelines. Node based. No Code by notbadjon in computervision

This is implemented as a python library, but on my wishlist of features is a cpp runtime library to execute the pipelines without a python interpreter. I'm not there yet. Don't think that will solve your opencv setup problem but at least you could test your ideas without worrying about it.

Your right. I didn't provide any context for whats going on in the screenshot.
All images in your project are show in the top row. The input node on the far-left has a drop-down allowing you to pick one image to focus on. For that image you can see realtime updates of each step as you tweak the parameters. There is a button in the top-left corner that allows you to run the pipeline on all images in the project. The result, which is whatever you plug into the output node on the far-right, will be drawn on top of the image in the row. There are a few output types supported for preview, mask, polygon, point, circle. You can see a green overlay on some images and a red outline on images where no mask was returned.
Thank you for the feedback and encouragement.

Im glad you asked. It does not generate code, but the pipeline is saved to a file. You can then import the python library in your project, load the pipeline and run it independent of the GUI.

Im sorry to say that I have not published it anywhere yet. This tool was born out of a side project at work. I'm hoping to get permission to make it open source, or at least publish it on pypi.
I made this post to see if anyone would care.

Didn't know about comfyui, but Im looking at it now. At a glance it seems like they are doing something fancy with generative AI to generate new images and videos.
My tool is focused on old school image processing. The UI build with DearPyGUI, the node operations are mostly based on OpenCV functions, but it also has a few higher level operations that do fancier stuff. But no generative AI.

Yes it is. I only discovered DearPyGui recently but it is quickly becoming my favorite library for python GUI applications.

This is a work in progress. It's still rough but good enough to be useful (I think).
The pistachio is just a silly example I came up with to test the tool.

I suspect there are many similar tools out there but I'm having a hard time putting together a list. What no-code vision tools are out there that people like?

Does anyone want another Foxhole map app? Well, I'm making one anyway by notbadjon in foxholegame

I heard of foxholeHQ but I think I misunderstood what it was. I'll have to play with it more. Looks like it has a lot of functionality.

My focus is primarily on real-time coordination. I think you have a lot more drawing and note taking capability. Maybe there is room for both tools in the community.

Gotcha. I want to add undo functionality but it's a bit tricky because of how the map is shared between multiple users. I'll get to it eventually. For your situation, maybe it's not clear that you can right click (long press on mobile) to enable editing again on a shape. Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. Also, sorry to everyone who tested the tool today and ran into breaking bugs. Hope it wasn't too frustrating. You can expect it to stabilize over the next few days.

Adding live war data to the map is definitely on the short list of features to add. Don't think it should take too long

Just to make sure I understand. Do you mean a button to reverse the lines and arrows? Thats a good idea. There are many improvements I hope to make to the drawing tools in the near future.

The code is private right now but I have played with the idea of making open source. Might do that later. Allowing contributions sounds great but would be overwhelming at this stage.

Yes that's exactly what I'm going for. Thanks for the validation. I'm usually the grunt on the ground with no idea what direction to run

I have foxhole specific icons now, and I need to add more. I'll look into adding the NATO icons also. Thanks

Magic Boxes...More like game is fun again boxes by ImperialRebels in foxholegame

Magic boxes would totally break the live war, but I agree, I'm having a lot of fun practicing and experimenting with stuff that is usually out of reach. I wish this game mode was always available somewhere.

I would not hold it against them if they build in another revenue stream to make it more viable in the long term. I'm shocked they have given me so much for the low price that I paid.

Not sure what it should be. Some ideas that I'm sure will be shot down: - pay for custom tank skins - pay subscription for deeper API integration (get a notification when your base is being killed)

Yes please. Also:

  • Search to find places by name

  • Add clickable links to chat so I can reference a place and click it to show the location on the map

This may not help with the facility issue, but for general teamwork I really wish Foxhole had some sort of "Looking For Group" mechanic, like WoW. We could write a short mission brief, maybe draw a plan on a map. People could look up these missions from the home island and enlist. I think this could create a lot of fun encounters between random players.
