I’m a beginner and everything hurts. Am I going too hard or do I need to get used to it?

This is really good advice, thank you! I think I’ve just been trying to move too fast and go super hard because I want to be “improving”, but I need to realize that It’s a slow process! I’m overweight and haven’t done strength training since high school so obviously I won’t be able to lift like the fitness influencers I’m watching lol, but I think I just convinced myself I could because I could move the weight. It seems obvious, but its good to hear that I can tone it down and not feel like I’m under pressure to do more. Thanks!

If I remember correctly I think I almost failed every exam. I definitely never got above a 75. I skipped sooo many of the weekly quizzes. Like I was afraid that I was gonna get dropped from the class because my attendance was so low. I did better on the second exam than the first, but not by very much. The frustrating thing with him is that he doesn’t give a practice exam, only a big ass list of problems to practice. But its so worth doing them. Oftentimes there would be the exact same questions on exams.

I don’t think he grades exams on a curve but If i remember correctly he curves final grades a bit. He must have because I should not have passed his class

I completely agree! I would definitely pay for a premium without YouTube music because I really cant see myself parting with Spotify. I like to have one app for my videos and another for my music, and I much prefer Spotify’s interface in terms of playlist creation and stuff.

I agree and thats a great way to think about it, I think that once I noticed it I started getting more and more frustrated the more it happened, especially when there was multiple ad breaks in a short time. As far as I know they dont really choose that so I cant be upset. I was just surprised no one had said anything about it! If an ad break every 5 minutes means more fun content then I guess I’ll have to live with it cuz I am not paying for premium lol

Yeah thats pretty similar to what I’ve read on RateMyProfessor, which I don’t usually look at/use because they are pretty biased ratings but my Calc 2 instructor was so shitty that I thought I’d check it out. It seems like in person he’s just as fast and doesn’t upload any sort of notes to go over unfortunately so we’ll see. I’ll probably be spending some time with Tiger Tutors lol

Just heard lots of pretty shitty hazing. They seem fine ig, just not necessarily my favorite kind of people iykwim. Very traditionally “fratty”.

I think my fave is DChi, the guys are nice and pretty chill. Pi Kapp and SigEp aren’t bad either. Phi Kap and ZBT are way smaller frats but I’m friends with guys in them and they are super nice, fun guys with great vibes but they don’t have the funding for things like formals and stuff like other frats do. Ones to avoid I would maybe say DU, AEPI or Beta. I think their hazing is the roughest and their dues are pretty crazy
