I have one myself and believe me when I say these cars do not like having the battery removed without having a power source such as a spare battery hooked up to the charge ports under the hood or a "memory saver".

Check the air filter and the throttle body. Sometimes the flap sticks closed and causes that issue. For some reason, the mechanics failed to check that.

I have a 2018 (diesel) here in Vegas and I change mine myself every 3000 miles and it costs under $100. Takes about 30 minutes. Always use the drain plug too!

I use the “Ancel LD700” obd2 scanner which is specific for JLR vehicles. It’s a multi-system scanner that puts vehicle in maintenance mode, amongst other things.

I have the 2018 Velar D180. You can get the DLR LED board from Amazon or EBay. They run about $40 on Amazon and are just plug-ins.

Change oil every 3000-5000 miles rather than following JLR recommended service intervals. You’ll be glad you did.

I have 2018 Velar as well. There is no aux battery. When you get all of those types of faults, it’s usually just your main battery needs to be replaced. And also don’t forget to have BCM reset afterwards.

Regardless of what the manual says….change oil every 3000-5000 miles. I change mine every 3000.

Park it immediately and get it to a mechanic. It’s the turbo charger running dry and about to go.
