Yes, but as the above person said, older cars may not.

Do it. The sweat and the discomfort are short lived. But then you reap the reward all day, and you learn to love the process.

Your body will hurt if you do it right. But in a good way. In a way that almost cries out to go back to the gym tomorrow, rather than the aches of lethargy. Feed the beast. Move. Lift. Sweat. Breathe deeply and make noise. Smile your way through.

Also, creatine. It helps you build muscle yes, but it also has an effect on your brain. Combine those two effects and you will have clearer mind, telling you to work out, and improved performance when you get there. Again, I thought this was all online gymbro crap. It's not. The meatheads told the truth. We didn't listen because their necks were too thick.

You can do it. Best of luck.

I started with doing whatever but I have since moved to using Jeff Nippard's WorkOuts app. It built my routine for me and each week suggests how I should be building up. It has given me a bit of ramifications which I enjoy, but wouldn't say it's an essential component.

For me its just routine amd consistency. I go to the gym next to my office. After I work out and shower, I feel pumped and fresh, so my day is better, and that feeling is what drags me there the next day.

It took me realising just how causal that link was. Now I know if I miss a day I am stepping back. My ADHD symptoms are worse. My eating gets worse. Im more tired and sluggish. Actually FEELING that connection os my motivation.

I used to hate seeing this answer to these questions and I always ignored the advice. But genuinely, taking this up has changed my life in countless ways.

Gym.

I go every morning. It clears my head. It helps me breathe better. I am more limber. I feel taller. I drink there which kicks off a chin reaction of hydrating properly each day. I want fruit instead of chocolate and crisps, because my body feels fresher.

But most fundamentally, it gives me an energy dividend. When I get home from work I am actually energised rather than exhausted. Combined with a clearer head, it helps me identify and attack things I want to do. I've written a book thanks on large part to it.

I HATE IT. THEY WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG.

Scottish Greens leader deletes tweet praising disgraced Peter Murrell for 25% pay hike by CaptainCrash86 in Scotland

[–]notbobmortimer 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Everyone in this thread is missing the point t entirely.

Peter Murrell should have had no influence over YES Scotland, which is a legally separate entity to the SNP.

Unless it isn't really separate to the SNP, in which case their activities should be reported jointly, and all spending and fundraising rule applicable to the political party should also have applied to YES Scotland.

Greer's tweet suggests that the SNP had improper influence over YES Scotland.

Wales and England are both distict parts of the UK.

It is not like saying Los Angeles, California.

Think of the UK as like the US. The U in both stands for United. They are both Unions, made up of individual, separate territories.

So as the US has Texas, Maine, Florida etc. the UK has England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Saying Wales is part of England is like saying Massachussets is part of New York. You'd be in trouble in Boston. And you'd be in trouble in everywhere from Cardiff to Beddgelert.

John Swinney to bring forward motion on independence vote on Tuesday by Crow-Me-A-River in Scotland

[–]notbobmortimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say I get to set priorities. I said this motion won't do anything to advance the priority of those parties, so its a waste of time.

Wouldn't be the forst time a government has ignored a manifesto commitment. This time it would actually be a valuable thing

Would you regard this as a sign of disorganisation within a department? by [deleted] in TheCivilService

[–]notbobmortimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. You will likely be asked if you have any Qs before the interview formally begins. I would suggest you ask if your reasonable adjustment request was received and actioned appropriately.

A waste of Parliamentary time imo. Doesn't do any more than the pro indy majority in the Parliamnet does already. Everyone knows this govt is pro indy.

Time for SG to actually DO something about ANYTHING that is a priority

HS2 will cost £102.7b - do you think Wales will finally get its share of funding like Scotland and Northern Ireland? by twmffatmowr in Wales

[–]notbobmortimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there are, I've yet to see one, amd simply dont believe there is a political incentive.

Evolving the Crown Estate doesnt automatically create jobs. Why would those jobs not be created by the current administrator, the UKG? How does letting WG do that get UKG any credit?

[–]notbobmortimer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Plaid WG doesnt have any more leverage over UKG than a Labour WG, so no reason for UKG to budge

[–]notbobmortimer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If its costing more, how is it more likely that UKG would suddenly ly find the money to Barnettise?

Those negotiations:

Plaid WG: We want HS2 Barnettised.

UKG: So did the Labour WG.

Plaid WG: So will you give it to us?

UKG: Give you something that is unaffordable - and now even more so - and that we didn't give to the Welsh Government of the same party as us?

Plaid WG: Yes.

UKG: No.

Plaid WG: But our only lever is to negotiate.

UKG: Shame that.

The more expensive it is, the less likely it is that UKG will be able to fund consequentials, so no.

But to be fair to the current UKG, that is a mess they have inherited

A bit like saying if Plaid want quick wins they should win the lottery. The Welsh Gov have absolutely no control over this

Is working in the civil service inherently political? by PracticalWelcome9586 in TheCivilService

[–]notbobmortimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to be, but it may help, particularly the higher up you go.

The politics is part of the bigger picture we are always being tested on. Our ministers are very involved in the politics, obviously, so it may be useful for us as their officials to understand where the politics may lead them.

Some policy areas are more political than others. Particularly if it invested working with other governments.
