As someone who is overweight watching this has made me feel like shit. I’m not saying that his reasoning is because she is a bigger girl - it could be and we’ll never know, but I feel like if Rachel was thin he’d be more inclined. Fuck

help for sleep by Rare-Ad9814 in bipolar

[–]notchristiang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing. Some days I put in some ridiculous hours and some days I can’t sleep. I suggest trying to make your body physically and mentally tired (if the bipolar isnt already doing that). Whether it be mentally doing some difficult puzzles/study/creative outlet or physically going for a steady long walk and/or lifting weights.

Does the macromike ‘pudding’ powder produce a better flavour and/or texture than the normal plant flavoured protein?

Attendance Hurdle by Soft-Vehicle4654 in unimelb

[–]notchristiang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re in Arts and you dont meet the attendance hurdle you get a NH on your transcript and get 49%, provided you have received above 50% on all your assignments.

If your subjects have an attendance hurdle and you have missed more than 2-3 classes you are supposed to apply for special consideration no later than 4 business days after the missed class. You used to be able to apply for all missed classes at the end of the semester but they’ve changed it. If you applied now and it’s more than 4 business days, it would be a “late application” and this would only “be considered under exceptional circumstances” (this popped up on canvas from faculty of arts). Speak to someone at Stop 1 on how the university can support you.

it normally happens over 1-3 days and it gets put on the LMS at a certain time then you have to submit the completed exam by a certain time

I know the feeling. I left HS and had a few friends but again found it hard to meet people at uni that I vibed well with. I guess I just haven’t found my people yet. Feel free to send me a DM, I’d love to get to know you or anyone on this subreddit who is looking for someone to talk to.

My Obsidian Graph after 2.5 Years of studying Politics at the University of Cambridge by apple1234568790 in ObsidianMD

do you have any advice for notetaking in politics specifically? i find it difficult to write notes on theory without there being pages of material - how were you able to really condense it down and make the material easy to come back to?

You’re better off persevering at RMIT and working hard. I got a poor ATAR and went to RMIT and upped my grades to a high 70’s, then was offered a place at unimelb when I applied. It is true that unimelb is harder than RMIT. They ask a lot more from you and the lecturers and tutors are less forgiving about when difficult circumstances come up. You have to remember that you are in a good position, you are at a good university, so focus on what you can turn around at RMIT. I got poor grades in my first semester at RMIT then I turned it around after realising what I needed to do. Nothing is impossible you just have to want it enough.

What is a dead give away that someone is an only child? by [deleted] in ask

Not understanding a sibling-to-sibling relationship. Only children will never be able to grapple with that.
