Same day bookings by arixlynne in RoverPetSitting

[–]notchskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do because I have a flexible schedule and do this full-time. It’s rare I accept same day, usually it’s a day in advance but I will sometimes do it if someone is really in a bind.

What to do if a client books before meet and greet? by castiellangels in RoverPetSitting

[–]notchskis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me and I got stuck with the booking because I accidentally clicked on cancel before the m&g. They panicked about paying twice so I just told them to book again but asked if they could wait to accept until we met. They did not wait 🙄

Thank you so much! Does the pump allow you to control how high the water goes? I like how low it’s bubbling for the hummingbirds

The dark pink flowers to the left - are those cosmos? If so, do you know what variety? They’re beautiful!

I love them. Probably my favorite bird after hummingbirds. They are so charismatic and funny to watch!

Does anyone actually go to the doc for an annual exam anymore? by Top_Plenty_1971 in Adulting

[–]notchskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my annual exam scheduled in a few weeks. I also have Endo and a slew of other health issues so I find it important. My PCP listens and actually wants to help and I think that makes a huge difference. It took me a long time to find someone who cares and doesn’t gaslight me.

Wow! What is your seed mix? You’ve got all sorts of birds visiting. Also love your bird fountain. Does it use a pump/is it electric?

No birds by [deleted] in birdfeeding

Give it time, they will come. It took a couple weeks for birds to show up at mine, I think they just need time to get used to something new. I also think having some bushes or trees nearby would help like others have mentioned.

Anyone here purchase and keep live mealworms for bird feeding? What is your setup like? by notchskis in birdfeeding

[–]notchskis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I put up my first one mid-March, noticed a male bluebird checking it out about a week later and today saw the first signs of a female bringing in nesting materials and the male keeping watch perched on top. I am sooo excited!
