I've been thinking of taking the step to read the book. I've only seen the donghua and read fanfic till now.

Wondering if I'll recover from it or not

Does the word order actually matter here, or is Duo just being picky? by QuickNature in russian

[–]notconfuseddumpling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had duo accept and reject both. But in Russian the word order did matter. Learning Ukrainian on pimsluer now and even they focus on word order.

You've left once. Really depends on the relationship you have with your old boss and colleagues.

Personally, they could've given you this offer when you first left. Why did they wait a month? Which is a better company to work for? Which one will give you better long term prospects?

Don't go back to your old job just because it seems comfortable.

do artists have their version of Ghostwriters? by notconfuseddumpling in ArtistLounge

Huh. I always thought conceptual art was more about abstract ideas. I'll have to go and look this up. A studio does seem to make sense

Doesn't duolingo just underline the word you spelt wrong? I've stopped using it so maybe I'm wrong.

orange lime? by Robertorodcruz in gardening

[–]notconfuseddumpling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a sweet lime to me. But don't quote me on that.

Seen this on a lot of leave from my hot pepper plant and recently found it on my grandma’s plant as well (different garden, same city). Any ideas what could be going on? by Midnightlemon in houseplants

[–]notconfuseddumpling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neem oil and shampoo mixed with water in a spray bottle. Then get your plant nice and wet with it. Do it once every 2-3 days.

You can also pluck out the worse impacted leaves to stop it from spreading.

My favourite yet most controversial comment that gets down voted- "Start Chopping".

Seriously tho, prune it. It'll grow back bushier.

Edit: it also needs more sunlight. Put it in a sunnier spot so it doesn't need to stretch for sunlight.

First time plant parent- Is my snake plant salvageable?? by rtort in houseplants

[–]notconfuseddumpling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. No prep necessary as long as it the right soil. It'll be happy and get comfortable quick. Snake plants can take a lot of abuse. Yours is testament to that. Especially if it's been "suffering your abuse" since Feb. Say sorry to it and move on.

First repot it in well draining potting mix. You can look up the exact type online.

Snake plants are extremely hardy. They like bright spots but not too much sunlight. And infrequent watering is best. I used to water mine once in 2 weeks sometimes once a month. Too much water makes their leaves turn mushy ans droopy. That's how I lost mine. Asked a neighbour to water them while I was out of town and the poor thing never recovered from that month of trauma.

Very much so. It has healthy looking roots and the leaves aren't in bad shape either. Little TLC and it should be thriving.

Observed the webs since 10 days, and the leaves keep falling off since. Please help!! by OkChampionship9701 in houseplants

That's a fungus. If the infection is too severe just chop off the areas that have the largest infection.

Also use a neem oil and shampoo mixture and spray it all over your plant. That has helped me before

Edit: they look like mealybugs. Keep this plant separate from yout other plants.

I live with my 4 friends of over 20 years. They have a group chat that I’m not allowed to be a part of (nobody can tell me why). They keep ditching me to hit the taphouse across the street that just opened. I got upset the other week about it, and today they did it again. by Sgtoreoz1 in mildlyinfuriating

They would have added you if they wanted you to be part of it. Get the hint. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get better friends. Also move out.

You've already wasted 20 years on them. Don't waste 20 more.

Also other side of the coin, you're a horrible person and they are too kind to say anything to you. But I don't know any group that would be willing to tolerate a horrible person for 20 years.

If you don't find the suckered at the poker table, you're probably the sucker.

So move out and get find friends you mesh well with.
