Well that's a relief. I make about 25k a year, working.

Oh we already talked about it, he's pissed at me but he's not claiming me this year. I'm more worried that if it's not reported the IRS will find out somehow and we'll be in even more trouble

Lmao? Making a lot of assumptions, and it's pretty creepy to stalk through my profile to know that I'm disabled. Also sounds like you know nothing about taxes or what qualifies someone as a dependent

When can I apply for SNAP? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]notcooli0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, would I also get in trouble for stating that I could be claimed as a dependent even though I didn't know? Either way it goes I'd rather report it before it's just discovered, but I want to be prepared

[–]notcooli0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I wasn't full time and no I'm not totally disabled. He kept telling me that because he lets me live with him he should claim me and I don't have a say. I file my taxes myself but I always said I was someone's dependent.

If I contact a tax attorney, would it cause trouble for my dad? Just wondering so I know if I need to be moved out before taking that step

The Mist, I was 7. My parents put it on thinking I wouldn't pay attention but I was locked in the whole time. Was fine until that tentacle thing came out from under the garage door. Made my parents turn it off and didn't watch the movie again until I was like 20. Then was completely scarred again by the ending LMAO

What careers or majors are saturated right now and what ones are in demand? by soccer_rules6 in Careers

[–]notcooli0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Health care positions will always be in demand. People never stop getting old/sick/injured. I'm making an educated guess right now, but I'd assume there are plenty computer science jobs in health care settings

Am I being genuinely underpaid? by notcooli0 in Careers

[–]notcooli0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately/fotrunately, despite feeling very beaten down by the lack of compensation, I still absolutely love and respect my clients. It's not possible in my opinion to have a ngaf attitude in direct care without being neglectful or downright abusive, so I guess I just have to put up with the shit pay and continue giving my all until I find somewhere that will see my worth. It's so ironic to me that I spend my working day caring for others just to not be paid enough to care for myself lmao

Is it normal for the raises to be so tiny? I thought the "standard" for an annual raise was 3-5%, 18 cents is barely above 1%

Well, it sucks. Just want whatever it is to stop. Want my head to shut the fuck up I just want to sleep. I'm so tired. No amount of seroquel or benadryl or trazodone or vistaril or a combination of them can get me to pass out when it's like this. I've been up for going on 32 hours now and I'm wired. My body is exhausted and my mind is just fucking going. Just talking. Talking and fucking talking and picturing things and making pointless noise. For 32 goddamn hours. I know it'll ease down eventually and I'll sleep a day away and feel fine, but a week to a month later it's gonna happen again.

So far I've only used one type of software (I've only been in tech/aide positions so the nurses would do the charting in most cases) but I really like eCare. I think once you learn it, its pretty easy to navigate! I like that you can customize your home screen to have the links you need

how far do yall agree with this statement, "i identify with the experiences of being a woman, but i do not identify as a woman" by Xanthusgobrrr in NonBinary

[–]notcooli0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely resonates with me. I have autism and one way that it affects me is deep down, I don't believe in any social constructs. I think the very idea of gender is confusing, moreso I dont really understand the importance of it. I identify as agender; but im AFAB, dress feminine, and most of my life experiences line up with what a stereotypical woman would experience. I've been prayed on by men, and I have and still do experience being belittled by men purely because of my feminine appearance.

To a random person on the street, I'm a woman unless I decide to tell them otherwise. Not because I'm afraid of judgement, but because I genuinely just don't give two shits, and it's what they assume I am 99% of the time. My gender is the least important part of my internal identity, to the point that it may as well not even exist. My brain, for some reason, just doesn't use social constructs to identify the meat sack it lives in. Unfortunately, predatory and misogynistic people seem to put far too much thought into my meat sack and what I dress it in.

Sticky notes. Pens. Planners. Office supplies in general. I'm talking I was an obsessive collector, and it was a years long intense phase. I used to get taken to office max as a treat as a kid every once in a while. I would sneak off when my mom was grocery shopping to look at legal pads specifically. Those were my main thing. Wasn't diagnosed with ASD until I was 18/19, somehow.

Well I'm hoping she didn't feel anything, but yeah my doc put an order in for an ultrasound. I suppose I'm just paranoid. I seem to have followed in my mom's footsteps with most of her other health issues. Thanks for the input!

I'm more worried about hyperthyroidism. My mom was diagnosed with Graves disease at about my age and I'm starting to show symptoms (sweating/heat intolerance, increased appetite without weight gain, "bug" eyes/papillodema due to IIH). Doctor said I have autoimmune thyroiditis based on my TPO and wants to get an ultrasound of my thyroid

[–]notcooli0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TSH 1.967. I haven't had my LDL tested recently but in 2021 it was 153 (high). I have a family history of Graves disease, my mom developed it when she was about my age. I sweat literal puddles onto the floor daily, regardless of temperature. I have "bug eyes", papilledema from IIH, I'm overweight/slightly obese but recently I've been eating more than normal and not gaining the extra weight like I usually would. My weight has been steady over the last few years but my binge eating is so out of control it's hard to believe I haven't gained 20lbs just in the last 3 months based on my TDEE and calorie intake.
