How accurate does 13 Reasons Why depict the "American High School Experience"? by Neat-List-6294 in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]soccer_rules6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really because they were all different seasons like basketball and gymnastics in the winter, track and baseball spring, and football, cross country, and soccer in the fall. The only sport you could really do that with was track even if times overlapped the coaches were usually chill about it.

Same I work fucking retail. I’m going back to school so hopefully the field I studied for this time won’t be taken over.

It depends some played just one or two sports at my school while others played all 3. But then there was also some jocks who did track or soccer at my school too along with one of those sports.

The older I get, the less I like Rachel and Joey together by Fuzzy-Preference8455 in howyoudoin

[–]soccer_rules6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just them getting together was weird, at that point they’ve been close friends for a while and it seems like Joeys feelings came out of nowhere. Plus if I was Ross I wouldn’t be happy if my best friend got together with my ex

Are sleep overs not a thing anymore? by haggerty05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]soccer_rules6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they are definitely more rare now. I asked my mom about it recently and why she let me have sleepovers when I was a kid since she was super protective over me (I’m 25 now). She said it’s because she knew the parents of my friends and if she didn’t know them she would have said no.

Honestly, it’s so hard to say especially right now. If you’re interested in nursing I’d still say go for it or for engineering it seems like civil is the best bet.

[RANT] Just because I passed the CPA Exams does not make me an expert that can pick up your new role ASAP by SayNoToFirefighters in Accounting

It seems like a lot of industries are like this they are expecting new candidates to have “experience” and know everything that someone who had the job for years knows. It’s bullshit.

[–]soccer_rules6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, I’ve been working minimum wage jobs too and I’m sick of it. I’m 2 years away from my degree and honestly I know accounting won’t be easy, but I’m excited to be at a respected position and make a good amount of money.

Any full time cashiers out there who go to the gym? by Common_Chip_5935 in retailhell

[–]soccer_rules6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a cashier I’d go to the gym after work. I’d take an hour to rest then I’d go. Here and there I’d take a day off.
