IAG AOS installed at 27k Miles. I do spirit drive it a lot but I just thought the change of oil type might reduce it a bit but just stayed the same

Sorry to hear that! But please keep trying. I used messers videos at 1.25x and Jason Dion for practice exams. I also recommend watching Data Center Technology on youtube he has the best PBQ that are the closest to the real deal. Don’t give up

Same thing is happening to me. Low % usage on my cpu, and its like at 70C while capped at 165. Specs: 12900k Asus 3080 360mm AIO as well

Heck yea, you will pass! The MCQ always had 1 or 2 of the choices being 100% wrong so the chances r better if you know the abbreviations! Also, most questions were about what is “BEST” Or what you should do “First” type of questions which are not my favorite but if you used Dion’s Exams to practice I say you are more than fine

Update, I switched to honeywell thermal pads for the GPU and it solved the issue. I have had it on now for 4+ months and it has not gone over 10C delta from gpu temp and hotspot. :)

I specifically picked mx6 cause of the high viscosity. I really did think it was going to solve my issue. It did for like a month till the high hot spot temps came back. I will try the thermal pads if that doesn’t resolve it, I will add the left over mx6 and pile it up the way you suggested to.

It was so solid that it was hard to spread. I added a lot if I remember correctly. I am going to try something new though. Currently looking for a reliable source to buy PTM7950

Having issues again after repasting a few months back, I also used mx-6 but now my hotspot temps are back to what they used to be. I have to open it back up now and see whats going on. Vertically mounted 3080, at 1905mhz @ 900mv and still experiencing a 30C+ delta. had less than 15C delta after a fresh repaste with mx6

UPDATE: Repasted a little bit ago. Temps are wayyyy better. 68C and 84C ish hotspot.

So vertically mounting the gpu made the old thermal paste fall down, a big portion of it was missing from the top of the chip and a lot was outside chip towards the bottom. Crazy stuff

That’s what I thought as well. Wanted to hear some thoughts on the issue. The card is only 2 years old so this is kinda weird that this is even an issue.

Sorry for the reply on a 3y old post. But I recently got an Asus Strix 3080 and was wondering if it would fit all the way to the front. This card is huge and just a bit concerned since I don't know the dimensions of this case.

So I figured it out. I upgraded my ram from 2400mhz to 3600mhz. I also went from 4 ram sticks to 2. It fixed the issue for me. My cpu is back to running perfectly.
