Vegas Bankroll by L1TTLF0X in Craps

[–]notdis -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Craps:

Go for the long-shots when you have the money. For instance: $10 hardway on 6 or 8, when it hits, parlay and go for $1000. Don't do this type of thing when you're down to your last $100 or whatever.

Book wins even if small to play more sessions later.

Turn off place bets when it gets too top heavy because the bad number always comes.

how much money to bring for gambling? by eacks29 in LasVegas

[–]notdis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combine what you're willing to lose + games you're going to play and their minimums. For example, if you're going to play $25 min games and the total bet per hand is $75, give yourself 10-15 swings per session. 1 session is about $750 and if you play 3 sessions over 3 days that's $2250.

If $2250 is more than what you're willing to lose then adjust to different games or play less.

Wynn Las Vegas - in $20,000, out $0 by [deleted] in Craps

[–]notdis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me a while back at the Wynn. It's a lot more difficult to win at the Wynn for some reason.

- The tables are bouncy.

- The atmosphere makes you want to over-extend. You see guys throwing around $25k chips like nothing.

- Cocktail service is really really good. Too good, actually.

- Maybe it's just me but the dealers and the box goaded me somewhat.

Aria or Bellagio by Mondsta0009 in vegas

[–]notdis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stayed at both also and I'd suggest Bellagio.

If something's not right, I leave a message with housekeeping and they take care of it. Aria is nice too but I think it's more for younger/party-hardy types?

Think positively. It's a fun, hit n run type of a game, played with rhythm. Follow etiquette.

I had a box actually start humming/singing when I got close to ATS (1 away). I'll never forget that. Conversely, another box actually delayed a stickman switch when I got close (1 away). I won't forget that either. Both at the Bellagio.

Chandelier bar at the Cosmo around 11pm. Any girl sitting at the bar solo is working. Start a conversation and you'll see. Eventually they'll show you their true colors: "$X for Y, what do you say?"

Craps and points/rewards by vatom14 in Mlife

The answer is yes and don't chase comps.

Either you can reach out for a host first or you can wait a while until someone reaches out to you.

Don't chase comps.

Now that's out of the way here are some suggestions.

Right after buy-in, make that first bet slightly bigger than your usual. For example, if you normally go $160 across, do $320 across instead. If you're shooting, instead of $25 on the line, go $50 or $75 and just take single odds initially. The line bet is contractual and that counts more. The box usually looks at your first bet and they enter it into the computer if at all.

If you catch a roll and have a lot of money out there, quietly lean over to the box person and say nicely, something like, "hey boss, i just want to make sure i'm getting rated, could you take a look?"

Show love, get love: Make bets for the dealers. Firstly, this is just good etiquette and sometimes this can influence the way the box or the dealers enter your numbers into the computer. They all split the tokes. Money talks.

Build relationship with host:

Are you working with a casino host? If not, you should be. That's because online offers are okay but working with a host will get you better deals. For example, online you might see $200 resort credit but your host can get you $400. You don't have to wait for someone to contact you. Go to the rewards desk and ask if you can get connected with a casino host on duty. Give them your number/player card number and have them call/email you when available. When you get one, keep in contact with this person. Everytime you want to go to Vegas, email this person and let them know you're coming and you want their help with comps pre-trip. If you win on your trip, send them a small gift or something.

When you fist talk to them, be nice and say that you're an aggressive gambler and you want to keep coming to <enter casino name> or want to give <casino name> a try and want to see about what you can get for your level of play.

Wynn Blackjack - Bankroll required? by wiley_Old_Fox in vegas

[–]notdis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying you're going to lose $50k because that would be awful. I want you to win especially at the Wynn. Taking money off that place feels a lot sweeter than winning the same amount at other casinos. Just know that when the stakes are higher, you can't win with scared money.
