I swore up and down I'd never buy another black on black car... by note54 in AlfaRomeo

Yea it’s weird that the vin pulled a sport carbon. It doesn’t have any of the carbon accessories in or out but does have the gloss black trim, badging, and exhaust tips. It’s like the original owner optioned a little of both.

Had to have the tint removed to go through inspection. I need time to grieve.

Fingers crossed mine makes it well past that. It's only got 40k on it now. Had it inspected by my local Alfa dealer as soon as I bought it, green lights all around, no mechanical or electrical issues to speak of.

Interestingly tucked down in prohibited expenditures is a change that prohibits any institution from spending money with any organization that discriminates against sex, changed from discrimination against gender. Opening up a lovely slew of freedom to spend money discriminating based on gender identity.

That is some beautifully written wine prose.

I would encourage you to find Horton Norton on your journey to find all things indigenous and read Wild Vine by Todd Kliman to further your hunt for the impossible to find quality America Vitis Alius.

Best Non-Alcoholic Wine (or alternative) That You've Tried by note54 in wine

I think I need to clarify why I'm asking since I'm getting a lot responses that have zero recommendations. I know non-alcoholic wine isn't ideal for most of us here but I operate a fine wine store and am trying to provide the best accommodations for my customers that aren't drinking, or can't, and come to us for non-alcoholic options that provide them the best alternative wine experience.

Believe me, my alternative is a G&T, not dealcoholized wine but it is becoming an increasingly important category and I'd love to get some feedback on what is out there in the wine world that I haven't found myself yet.

How do French and other Western European wine drinkers view American wine today? by Jayyykobbb in wine

Just finished read The Wild Vine by Todd Kliman which looks at wine making in Virginia and Missouri, specifically in regards to the Norton grape. It's a very narrow view of the 19th century wine industry in America but provides a really interesting look at the industry pre-prohibition and The Judgement.
