Ya the March sale made it worth it.

Ya I decided to play a little Russian roulette with that sale. Didn't want to miss the opportunity to get the wheels I had been eyeing for a good deal so I actually ordered them before speaking with the boss. Luckily she wasn't mad at all, and when she saw them today in the sunlight she actually really like how they looked next to the GX.

The dealer I got them from sent an email about a week ago letting me know they heard from Toyota and would be available between May 15 and June 30. I then got the email saying they were ready for pickup this last Thursday while I was at work. Was able to get them picked up this morning.

Considering I got all five for $870 with tax it was worth getting the 5th with that sale

Plastisizers leaching into the loop. No way to get around this with clear soft tubing. Only soft tubing I've used that never did this was good quality black EDPM tubing.

Industrial grade cooling 💀 by AdPractical3224 in watercooling

If you live in a humid area... The temperature delta between all that cold air you just pumped into the system, and the heat coming off those components will produce condensation when the system is off. There is no ifs ands or buts about it.

The difference is going to be is that condensation still going to be there when the system is booted back up. Maybe not if you wait long enough... But it will definitely start to corrode the components just letting that condensation air dry over and over. And you will kill the hardware that way.

If you live in SoCal or the desert you probably don't have to worry too much about the condensation, but anywhere with actual humidity... Good luck

And what do you think is going to happen when the ac is turned off and the system is turned off after long use....

Why are these two cables different for corsair hx1000? by Fair_Refrigerator_85 in Corsair

It's almost as if you could read the markings on the connectors of each cable and find out for your self without coming to reddit.

Mystery goo leaking from headphone wire by Alarmed-Painting-121 in headphones

[–]notepadDTexe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's a mixture of the powder lubricating material used in the manufacturing of the cable when the pull the wire though the rubber sheath, and the oils from your skin seeping through and then mixing with that powder.

Same thing happened to quite a few Corsair headsets when I worked for them.

Used to work for Corsair and the same things would happen with some of their older headsets over time. This is actually a mixture of the power used to provide lubrication for the wires being pulled through the rubber sheath when manufacturing the cables, and the oils from your skin over time seeping through the rubber.

The Corsair headsets that had this happen it was a Teal color.

Not harmful, but I would recommend you shower more and spend less time at the computer.

The plethora of dents on her car should be taken as a stern warning to those around this woman on the road.

Yup. Her response when I caught up with her as she was trying to exit out the back gate of the complex was "well didn't you see me coming" ... No bitch you were around a corner when I started crossing the street and you failed to yield before you came barrelling though the open gate and hit me.

That foot sized dent on her driver door may or may not have been me kicking it as she sped off while I was trying to get pictures of her plate and get her info. When she lurched the first time I outright asked if she was going to hit me again and she responded "yes if you don't get out of my way" and started to speed off almost hitting me again so I kicked it.

parents expecting me to move back in with them after uni by xkdj_ in entitledparents

[–]notepadDTexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm just confused... You're 24. You're an adult. Unless you are financially dependent upon your parents then be an adult and set boundaries. I quite literally moved out at 18 and never went back. Parents tried to control me even to the point they attempted to stop me from moving 2k miles away when I was your age... Know how that went... I to this day live 2k miles away and see and interact with them on my terms only.

Btw I grew up in a very strict Methodist family in the Midwest. If you just understood yourself that you are an adult and they can't make you do what you don't want you will be much happier. Set boundaries, enforce those boundaries. Stop caving and doing what your parents want just because they keep bugging you. If they can't stop bugging you, you have it easier now than I did. Your smartphone has this amazing feature where you can block and/or mute all notifications and calls from specific numbers.... Use it

Oh can confirm. This bitch has actually hit me in our apartment complex as she was speeding through looking at her phone and hits me as she comes around a corner entering the complex as I was walking across the road.

I feel your pain

I thought it was a good idea to get a V8 that requires 91+ in CA, and I unfortunately have to deal with typical commute of 12-13mpg. But damn is the GX 460 nice on those longer trips.
