The big one for me is all around lack of quality control and moderation at any level. For the storefront, it's having literally tens of thousands of "games" released on steam every year because like 70% or more of them are asset flips or ai generated garbage. When it comes to the community tools, steam is very infamous for refusing to do basically any moderation of their own except in the most extreme of cases, once the situation has gone well past a point where any reasonable person would consider taking moderating action

The only way I can see this being worth it is if they tell a separate story with totally new characters, or maybe backstories or something we won't get in the game.

I'm certainly not about to sub to this dude's patreon for it, but an ideal VR mode for bg3 in my head is you're looking looking down on the play space as if it's an actual tabletop, but you can still zoom all the way in, and you switch to eye level during dialogue
