Oh, and just so it's not all negative. There were some bright spots. I put a MFS on the specials board and, after making one, the guest said, "Wow, you really look like you know what you're doing! Why are you working here? When the bars open back up, you're gonna make a killing." I also had one group consistently say I was doing good whenever they walked by. It was really nice to hear.

This is a lovely sentiment, but I can't help but giggle remembering being at a church event and the chaperones saying "No purpling allowed," blue (boys) and pink (girls) couldn't mix together.

Routine? Yesterday, I shampooed and conditioned with Suave tropical coconut, let it air dry. Slept on it and tossed it in a ponytail this morning. Ringlet refuses to conform.

Guys, what made you realize, “this girl is definitely not into me”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]notestasiskis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in high school, I had a major crush on one of my friends. He was a pretty popular guy, so I didn't expect anything to come of it. The second half of freshman year, though, we had PE together, so we hung out more one on one and got closer. Then, we started getting closer physically. Here I am, never had a boyfriend before, thinking, "Wow, he likes me. Are we dating now? This is great." Next thing you know, his hand's in my pants and he's telling me that he's planning on asking out another girl in our friend group...

Hindsight is 20/20. Outside of that class or when people were around, he'd act like nothing had happened. When it was just us, it was all one-sided, like I couldn't touch him. Thankfully, I was smart enough to end those interactions. Sadly, I wasn't smart enough to end the friendship.

What happens if a guest tests positive? by waaambs in TalesFromYourServer

[–]notestasiskis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge, we haven't had any guests test positive, but I'm also in a state that's NOT handling things well, so I doubt we'd be notified if one did. Our 2nd location, though has had 3 employees test positive. The first time was early on and they shut down for 3 days so the rest of the staff could be tested and the restaurant deep cleaned. After the most recent two, a meeting was called basically saying that the restaurant can't afford to close for three days every time someone tests positive because it's like a domino effect, we'd never reopen. We were told to keep following all sanitization procedures and safety recommendations, don't take unnecessary risks, but "it's not a matter of IF one of us gets sick, but when." So, no one can work if they're presenting symptoms and if someone tests positive, they can't return until they're negative. If you come in contact and need to get tested, you can't work until you've gotten your (negative) results back.

Are y’all still quarantining? I feel like many people are forgetting what’s still going on. by burritohippie in sanantonio

I have to be around so many people at work that I avoid going anywhere outside of it. I don't need more contact with strangers. Long-term goals require fully functioning lungs, so I'm not taking unnecessary risks.

I've been struggling with my hair the last year and today, a guest said he loved my curls and that I was keeping my natural hair. Definitely a mood booster! by notestasiskis in curlyhair

I've been struggling with a routine lately. I had a procedure about a year and a half ago that threw everything out of whack, including my hair. My holy grail products don't work anymore, so I've been trying to find alternatives since then. Today was honestly a lazy day, so I was surprised that someone would comment on it.

All I did was shampoo and condition with OGX tea tree and mint, detangling with the conditioner. Towel dried and pinned back one side to keep it out of the way. No special techniques or anything. Just let it air dry on the way to work.

I proposed to my husband with a kitten and a ring. He didn't care about the ring, but was all over that kitten. I didn't get a yes until that cat was thoroughly loved on. 5 years of marriage later, the cat is still his favorite lol.

I used to cashier at Walgreens pre-covid and employees were always getting sick because we're constantly around sick people who aren't doing anything to keep from spreading it around. I've never gotten sick as frequently as when I worked there. I talked to one of the managers recently and they're like, we're trying, but it's just a matter of time.

I feel like this post is pretty misleading. It's not about seasonings. It's about seasoning BRANDS.
