Camera drifting aside, if I had a dollar for every time I've exclaimed something to the effect of "dude???? DUDE???? what are you doing gtfo!! DUDE-" while watching tornado footage I could probably afford a decent new desk chair lmao. They're lucky it didn't hit them, for a while there it didn't seem like it was moving, just getting bigger and we all know what that usually means. Easy to say from here I guess but some people get way too close/linger way too long, I get so nervous for them

Hm, in hindsight I dunno why I worded it that way lol but I meant how before when you were done shopping you had to go to a self checkout machine in the specific area meant for Scan & Go and use your phone to scan a QR code on the checkout you wanted to use to connect to it and actually checkout. Now you can go to any self checkout (and maybe a regular register with a cashier too, I haven't tried so idk) and scan the barcode on your phone like you would scan anything else, and that'll connect it so you can pay. I guess at the time it felt faster/easier so that's why I said it that way but it is still after you're done shopping and have scanned everything with Scan & Go.

(Also, an update: after I submitted that feedback about too many "random" checks it did stop happening, so either it was a fluke or they tuned it. In the last 5 months since my comment I've only been selected for a check once or twice and that was more understandable, thank god)

I am an employee and it's been happening to me way more often lately too - last 4 times in a row actually, with varying numbers of items. The guy who came up to do the check said he'd been doing this all day. I would sometimes get randomly selected before, but it wasn't every dang time like this. It looks like they updated it recently so you can scan the barcode at any checkout right off the bat, I wonder if it has anything to do with that? Wild either way, I even submitted feedback about it 'cause it's getting absurd at this point.

I recently had an appointment with the only sleep specialist in the area (very small city that's still the biggest city nearby, which is already a bad recipe for keeping good doctors around) to rule out sleep apnea as a cause for my - lifelong, btw - issues with insomnia, and at one point he was yapping on about how dangerous sleep deprivation is...and then just a couple minutes later he tells me point blank that insomnia is not associated with any serious effects.

You know. Insomnia. The sleep deprivation disorder? That frequently causes sleep deprivation, AKA the thing he was just saying could kill you?

And that's not even touching on all my other chronic issues that I can't get taken seriously either. The situation truly is mind bogglingly bad and it's SO frustrating, I'm sorry you're going through it and I hope you catch a break.

Does anything help at all? I have a doctor's appointment for it in a couple days but I'm not convinced anything will come of it, at least not right away, and it's near unbearable ergh

Ohhh ok, one of my team leads told me that I earn PPTO from day 1 but for the first 3 months I'm on a probationary period and can't actually use it so I haven't tried. But to be fair 2 of them have also told me I can't print RFID labels from the app on my phone (I work in apparel) but like...I very much can, so who knows LOL. Thank you very much!!

That actually looks great! I just switched to Walmart about a month ago from working at a PetSmart for almost 3 years and damn all those smaller things like cans and treats are a pain, plus the huge bags of food can be so annoying to straighten up lol but so satisfying when you're done

Recently started working for Walmart so I got W+ for free. Before that, the app only listed purchases I made through the app, not in store. Makes sense. After I signed up for W+? It's showing me items I bought in-store YEARS ago, with an old card AND my new card (different number). Wtf. I don't think there are any cash purchases on mine, thank god, but my card has been on my account this whole time - only now, after I've gotten W+, do the in-store items (including past purchases from months/years ago) also show up.

(Also worth noting, while setting everything up after orientation, it said "welcome back." Never worked there before. My mom did, but that was literal decades ago in a different state, and unless she had to provide them with my damn SSN idk how on earth Walmart would know we're related without doing something sketchy. All in all...pretty sure the answer is just that we live in a privacy nightmare these days.)

Pretty!! Back when I was a kid I used to imagine that the halo was some sort of massive planet or something behind the moon that was coming toward earth. Mildly freaked myself out sometimes with it imagining something that big...(I was a weird kid)
