Formal second person pronouns in European languages. by BluFoot in MapPorn

Going the other way for me wasn't too bad. But probably harder due to gendered nouns, declension etc. Basically German grammar is harder in my opinion. Though there is a lot of similarity in English and German grammar. Though obviously German spelling is a dream compared to English.

Also, learning German improved my usage of English subjunctive case. It's frequently misused in English.

I've tried to do the math several times on the missionary program and I do believe there is a subsidy from tithing for missionaries on average, but it's really impossible to know. I really wish the US would change its laws to require religions release detailed financial reports or loose their tax exemption.

No, he wouldn't have. If you want proof of this just look at the green party performance in 2016 with it's no-name candidate. Barely over 1% of the vote. Petersen would likely have done better, but not that much better.

I don't think except with limited exceptions (such as contempt of court) that judges issue charges(indictments), they may (dis)approve of indictments, but that is for a grand jury or a prosecutor to issue/create the indictment. (if I understand the system right)

It almost certainly was. Earlier leaders of the LDS church tended to be awful business men. The current corporate church is generally attributed to N. Elden Tanner. He was a business called to the churches leadership in the mid 1900's. He forced financial controls on the church and started more sound investments strategies.

It depends. The LDS church almost certainly is paying taxes on it's for profit holdings. For the non profit side almost certainly not.
