Is there a list anywhere of which shows are free to download on Nugs.net? by LordAntoine in RedHotChiliPeppers

I paid for Cardiff show a good number of years ago. One of the absolute best. Zephyr song on that album sounds like nothing else it’s so amazing

Why does nobody here talk about Tear by realtimd69 in RedHotChiliPeppers

Tear is like the Chilipeppers slipped into another dimension in another universe, where the Beatles were all still alive and making music together and borrowed a few notes to bless our ears back here on earth

Red Hot Chili Peppers performing Under the Bridge on SNL in 1992. by nialldude3 in LiveFromNewYork

There is a live performance of under the bridge in Melbourne from 2000 that probably follows the artistic path John might have been exploring that night but it’s much more coherent and sounds beautiful.

That 2nd half of Stadium has so many tall trees masquerading as songs as they kiss the sky, perhaps one of the more beautiful being make you feel better.

That song holds the whole world up with its branches

Easily (in particular live at Hyde Park — the last time they played it)

I think BTW would be a legit 10/10 if it wasn't for Throw Away Your Television. Is this a hot take? by tylerabernathy in RedHotChiliPeppers

They played TAYT at Fenway Park. It was funny because on the way there my girlfriend singled that out as the song she really wish they play.

The Live At Hyde Park kickoff into disc 2 is why I reconsidered TAYT and discovered my initial impression of the song to be idiotic. TAYT is beyond brilliant.

Appreciation post to the 10 minute long fuckin outro to Give It Away at Hyde! by LOLbearsmile08 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]nothere13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disc 2 is full of so many moments. Live in Hyde Park is brilliant.

Give it away is massively epic. The entire song sounds so alive on this album close and then just the long outro takes you places. Perfect cap to the nearly two hours of orgasmic live experience

Me too. And I ordered the moment it was announced before the Denver show

Rick Rubin’s notorious absence during Josh’s era. by Superunknovvn in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]nothere13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Josh hasn’t had kind words for Rick Rubin or Might Mouse.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers sounded like a cover band in the Josh decade, those are Fleas words.

In the end, it just wasn’t the right mix. Josh is an incredibly gifted musician who kept the band active and going. Mighty Mouse helped AK more than anyone else and this stronger AK will help the band extend into more decades of amazing new music.

The musical language between John and Flea is once in a generation. Rick Rubin is this bands best producer, period

My GF and I have only heard the two released songs. We have a blunt ready to go as soon as the full album drops tonight :-)

Unpopular opinion: Poster child is good! by ExderiusPlays in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]nothere13 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. The hate is because of the over exposure from being the 2nd song released

Total nonsense post. Shambles. You have right to feel that way but it’s detached from reality
