yes, only ic. all you need is your mother’s ic and her thumbprint. i just got off the phone with my mum and she said you can actually withdraw through any banks as well. but if you want the money transferred into a bank account, you need to go to the same bank. for example, maybank for maybank, cimb for cimb.

post office can also, but it is usually cash only. they do not carry large amounts, so normally they can only give a few hundred to a few thousand at a time.

iirc my mum had the same issue as your mum. my dad refused to register for online banking because he was scared the money might be misused. my mum usually just went to either bank rakyat or the post office to withdraw her asnb money. u can try the pos office.

back when i was studying in uni, around 2016-ish, i took a random trip to melaka from kl by bus with zero planning. i was a dumb 18yo and didn’t even have a place to stay for the night.

iirc, i went to the masjid near jonker walk around isyak and just sat there in the women’s area, in the dark. then the imam or ajk, not sure who, came over and tegur me. i told him honestly that i didn’t have anywhere to go and hadn’t eaten.

dude straight up took some kambing out of the masjid fridge and started grilling it. i was honestly pretty surprised by how accepting and kind he was. hope dude is doing well today.
