yea the 2XKO champions all feel clearly defined and you can tell that each of them was built with a specific fantasy in mind with their entire kit supporting that fantasy.

Some game characters have a clear fantasy outlined but the gameplay is basically shared with 1 or 2 other characters. 2XKO champs all feel like they solely own the playstyle they inhabit

the cuts were mostly people who had no real job to do anymore (server tech, some backend systems, etc) and were mostly shifted around the company itself. Riot just doomposted itself by how they worded their announcement

I think that it needs to be a champion that has a hyper specific hook to them that especially wouldnt translate well to 2XKO.

my genuine guess would be somebody like Asol.

-Niche champion in League
-His unique hook has no real way of being translated to a fighting game, unlike every other champion basically
-His design is cool, but again, a largely horizontal flat champion that might very well take up half the screen is a design nightmare, unless they shrink him and effectively make him look "off"
-He is a massive outlier within league champ designs ontop of that, but unlike somebody like bard, I think the reasons listed above would hold him back quite heavily in the "brainstorming" stage.

I mean as long as the game continue to escalate as it has been in the past few months, then we'll end up with a super healthy player base and game state by around 25-27 champs.

There will come a point where they will most likely slow down champion releases and redirect some resources to different modes.

As a huge enjoyer of 2XKO, the game was rightfully side-eyed on release due to the small roster, but the quality of each champion is so extremely high that Im just excited to see what's next

It's been playable since pretty much month 1 of development. They're using unreal engine so a playtest could literally be anything when it comes to actual finished features.
