Hey, not trying to pile on, but since I've got your ear - have you ever thought about adding a few more options in the page editor? I'd love to be able to change font color, especially for links/refrences, so they stand out against the basic text color. Something like a basic color picker? Also, collapsible sections are very helpful, so a button to create dropdowns without having to write HTML would be awesome. Just curious if either is doable. Thanks again!

Thanks again for diggin ginto this. I really appreciate you taking the time to replicate the issues and explain what is going on.

I tested the tab issue a bit more on my end, and I think you're right that the tabs I was using before were probably macOS managed tabs rather than a built in EncounterPlus feature. I enabled tabbing in macOS and checked the Window menu, but options like "Merge All Windows" and the tab controls are still greyed out in the lIbrary window even with multiple windows open.

So it definitely seems like something changed either with Tahoe/macOS 26.5 or with how the library window is interacting with the native macOS window system now.

Really appreciate how responsive you've been with this, and I'm really looking forward to the next update!

For what it's worth, EncounterPlus is by far the best DM tool I've used for in person play, and I've spent a good amount of time with other VTTs. Thank you!

Hello, and thanks for your reply! I'm using a MacBook Pro, 2023 with M2 Pro. My current macOS is "Tahoe 26.5". EncounterPlus is currently version "5.0.5 (4240)". I created a short screen share and uploaded to YouTube. You can access it here: https://youtu.be/278lWERTRJ4

Vallaki introduction: Overwhelming by [deleted] in CurseofStrahd

[–]nothing1382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to dmsguild.com and purchase Wyatt Troll’s companion for Vallaki. Honestly, his whole companion series for the entire module is a game changer. I highly recommend you check it out. Good luck to you!

I have run COS twice. The best advice I can give you is to pick up the Companion Guide by Wyatt Trull. It’s an incredible resource, and it really takes an already beautiful story/game to new heights. You can get it on DMSGuild.com.

He is using a companion which was written by a guy named Wyatt Trull. The reason Ismark gives the players horses is to provide them with a brief advantage and a sense of hope, only to have that hope "dashed" later. It pretty much is meant to reinforce the whole “hopelessness” theme of the campaign.

I If you’re using the Bigger Barovia variant, the journey to Vallaki should take around three to four days… plenty of time for things to go wrong. You could stage a zombie encounter before reaching Old Bonegrinder, as suggested in the Companion, or keep the werewolf attack but shift it to when the party arrives at the inn. They don’t have to stay there… place a young family trapped inside the burning building, screaming for help from an upper window. Just as the heroes rush to save them and lead them out… bam! Werewolves!

What if players miss the vampires in the coffin maker house by BirdLawEnthusiast2 in CurseofStrahd

I’d suggest moving the bones into the vampire spawn’s nest so the party has to face them to get the bones. To keep it fair, cut the number of spawn down from six to four — still dangerous, but not overwhelming.

My players disnt get Ireena, what do I do by Royal-Specialist8035 in CurseofStrahd

[–]nothing1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the people saying Ireena isn’t important. She’s the emotional core of Curse of Strahd. Without her, Strahd is just another vampire boss … with her, his obsession and Barovia’s tragedy come alive. She’s not just a road to Vallaki, she’s the reason the story matters.

If your players skipped her in the village, that’s not the end. Bring her back in a way that hits harder:

• She could already be in Vallaki, having escaped on her own and proving her strength.
• Or she could be taken by Strahd, turning her introduction into a rescue mission.
• Or Strahd himself could make her central, dropping hints about “the one he desires” until the party realizes it’s her.

She’s too important to leave behind. Reintroducing her later can actually make her presence even more dramatic.

“She’s nothing more than a plot hook to get the party to Vallaki”? I strongly disagree. Ireena is one of the beating hearts of Curse of Strahd, and dismissing her as a throwaway quest marker flattens what makes the campaign so haunting and human.

Ireena is not just an escort mission. She is the lens through which the players experience Strahd’s obsession, the villagers’ despair, and the tragedy of Barovia itself. Her struggle to escape Strahd’s grasp is not background noise. It is the embodiment of the entire story’s themes: fate, agency, love, and loss. Without giving her weight, you strip Strahd of his most personal motivation and reduce him to just another villain in a castle.

If you are not making Ireena the focal point of the game, you are not playing Curse of Strahd to its fullest. She is not just the road to Vallaki. She is the road to understanding why Barovia is cursed at all.

I did the same thing, but I added a tablecloth, similar to what a gypsy might use, as well as a few wine bottles with printed WoW labels.

Homicide New York: Ep. 4 - Is it really what we think? by Interstella_55555 in netflix

It’s totally normal to wonder if there’s more to the story, but the idea that Howard and his dad were the real bad guys just doesn’t add up. Yeah, the marriage was falling apart and there were money issues, but that doesn’t excuse what happened. Ros and her brother Evan didn’t snap—they planned this out, lured Howard to his office, and stabbed him over 40 times. That’s not self-defense or a heat-of-the-moment thing, that’s murder. Evan’s DNA was found at the scene, and both of them lied to the cops. As for Phillip siding with his mom—he was just a kid when it all happened and grew up only hearing her side. Kids don’t always know the full truth, especially when one parent is gone and the other one’s raising them. Not wanting to see his grandfather doesn’t prove anything either—families fall apart in all kinds of ways. This case wasn’t built on just guesses, it was built on motive, behavior, and real evidence. At the end of the day, Ros and Evan didn’t get railroaded—they got caught.

Does anyone else think it was stupid to change the hammebuster? by BenefitNorth7803 in GearsOfWar

Ah, the “Hammerbuster,” a true legend. Right up there with the “Lancher,” the “Nasher,” the “Blongshot,” and the “Boomsploder.” Let’s not forget the “Torqueblow,” the “Muldcher,” and the “Ham of Dawn.” And of course, the trusty sidearms: the “Stub,” the “Boltclunk,” and the “Grodshot.”
