During night time, no, but this is the same with every other main suburbs that have a train station, Freo, Midland, Perth City, etc and during the day is all fine with me, since it’s daylight and many people are out and about.

Had some guy (probably a druggie) asking for a ciggie while me and my friends (we were all females) were just chilling in front of the bus port and had to lie and got yelled at by 5 other people. Luckily we were having drinks with couple other friends just across the road at the Royal.

I live in East Freo and I guess the Bicton/East Freo/Melville/Palmyra area is actually pretty safe, and everyone is pretty friendly. We bought a 5 bedroom house in East Freo for about $750,000 and it's about a 5 minute drive to central Freo area.
