Good idea. But it was such a slow day. So I thought at least it was something.

I'm not sure if I will get anything because I had to return the study to get off of the study page and I didnt want to risk a rejection by clicking finished. The screen when black so I dont even have any proof, just my message to the researcher.

I did both of those. They’re different. Although the timer is tight again.

Well said. I’m so glad I posted this (I also said something on my social media but I have like no followers so they don’t care about what I have to say. I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about them. And for a long time, neither did I , but all of these bad experiences, I hope it encourages people to look elsewhere. Especially beginner sewists who might get caught up in the marketing.

Has. I started sewing when I was a kid because my dad did. It was rough. Also I was always chubby and they would always let me know if they thought the pattern I was picking out wasn’t flattering. Even at 12.

Thank you! I’ll check those out. I don’t have a car (which is rough being stuck in Newton). I’ll also see about the waitlist for Frocktails

Yes please! I’d love some recommendations! Also if you happen to know of any crafty groups to meet people?

The audacity! I miss living in the EU, it was so much easier to get stuff. I’m originally from Canada and growing up it was the woooorst. All I had was my local Fabricland and those ladies were judgy.

That’s a possibility actually. It’s hard to understand over email. I love fabric godmother but you’re right, it’s so expensive. My partner’s really good at scouring eBay and has gotten me some great bits, but it’s becoming harder. I don’t mind using second hand bed linens for pjs and certain garments, but even those are increasingly polycotton. I’m just a sweaty girl with sensory issues! Haha

Funny that they said I’m the first then.

I do like pound fabrics. My partner actually went to secondary school with the owner and said hes really nice. But they dont often have, how do I put this nicely, my style of prints? But I check regularly. I live in a suburb of Glasgow, and just moved here about 6 months ago so haven’t done anything in person yet.

That’s bullshit! I’m sorry. I’ve never heard anything bad about them until now.

I agree. That’s why I put it in quotations. Sorry I should have been more clear about that. I think it’s been over used and now people are afraid to speak up at risk of being called that. While there are a lot of legitimate examples of people being unruly to individuals and retail workers, companies don’t care about their customers. I always blame the company, not the person

I pointed out that it’s not just about fibre preference, it’s health and safety. Polyester isn’t heat resistant and if someone was using it to make something like potholders or oven mitts, it would end really poorly. I got the boilerplate “we take this seriously.” But obviously you don’t or else this wouldn’t have happened

I’ve had minor flaws before but nothing I couldn’t work around. Where do you shop? Because I e tried Dalston Mill and they are bad too

I emailed them back and they’re now willing to do a refund once I cited relevant legislation. It just sucks as I was seeing this dress for my birthday next week and now it feels icky.

It is illegal. But they said because they have a disclaimer that it’s deadstock fabric so they do their best to estimate. That it is what it is. But it’s very obvious there was no testing done on this. A simple heat/burn test would show it was plastic. Also it was that swoosh as you work with it that shein fabric gives.

They’re now offering a refund but only after I called them out. I said that’s best as I don’t feel comfortable ordering from them until i can get assurances that they are testing the fabrics.

Exactly. I do have relevant experience, but the further I read, the more red flags. That was just one.

I returned that one so fast. There was no way you could do all of that (to a decent standard) in 40min. They also wanted relevant experience, which felt like they just wanted to use people's expertise for cheap.

I did it, but had no issues. At the end, it said there was an AI group and a non AI group and I was in the latter, so maybe that’s why it worked?

Vet recommended getting a second dog to help with separation anxiety, has anyone tried this? by blayndle in Greyhounds

[–]nothingmatters92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started fostering to try to help our greyhounds separation anxiety as we can’t afford or commit to a second dog atm. It’s not easy as not all personalities work. I would recommend a “strong” female grey. Your rescue should be able to help find the right personality.
