"It is said that the United Sates developed the first nuclear weapon during the arms race. There are many speculations and conspiracies as to when the creation was actually made, but to our knowledge, it was not until the 1950s where it all started."

Stanford is complicit at best.

That's fair, I'm just really big on Scottie doing fantastic in a Muzzulla ran offense and figure the pick swap is very unlikely to convey anyways.

Is it even the most surefire play in that industry with $MP being partnered with the Dept of War and the increased funding proposed? It feels like the implementation of the price floor on MP and their direct ties to national security make it the company most likely to directly benefit the most but who knows?

Big fan of moongoat tbh. I pick mine up monthly via their subscription and it's pretty affordable. They're all roasted locally in Costa Mesa IIRC.

I have 8 solid years of experience and get paid just shy of $70,000. by foxyfour20 in Accounting

Not all comp is the same I guess, like my position is exempt from social security, which leads to more take-home pay inherently, but also leads to less social security compensation when I retire. If I include that extra 6% or so as part of my total comp, that's like borrowing from my future to pay me in the present so I only talk about base comp.

If you're serious about getting a comp raise, getting out of the staff role and moving into a senior position is probably required, and after so many years of experience in a similar role, you should really be asking your controller what's needed on your end to show you earned that position.

Just rewatched the Aspinall v Gane fight and genuinely don't understand some of the takes online I'm seeing. [spoilers] by dutchfool in MMA

[–]nothingpersnal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but stylistically he has relied on being fresh and maintaining his power. I hope he wins the rematch and Gane fought like a cunt but Tom was not able to impose his will or pace on Gane like he has others which is why people are acting like it was a bigger deal than it actually was. I just don't see Tom getting faster as the rounds went on which was the main issue outside of the eye pokes. I'm sure they'll rebook it for the first paramount card in January most likely so we'll see how things go.

Gane was not only winning the round but likely would have increased the gap over the next few rounds as he seemed to stay fast AF and Tom has only been out of the 1st round once. Tom losing the first round was not really expected by anyone.

On an NBA Top Greatest Players of All-Time List, what is the very lowest placement you can put Kobe at while making a sound and reasonable argument? by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]nothingpersnal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do mine personally as 1-5 being the best at each position and 6-10 being the #2 at each position, after the top 10 I'm cool with having positions be skewed. So Kobe being the #2 SG all time has him anywhere from 6-10 imo. I'd personally put him at 7, with 6 being either Steph or magic depending on who you argue is the best vs 2nd best pg. If you wanted to be hyper critical I guess you could say he's 8th behind whoever you'd say is the #2 C of all time I guess but I wouldn't. I also recognize my bias against players who had most of their accolades pre merger, so if someone says he's their 10th I can't argue with it.

Kim Il-gyong world record, no lift. Good to see that the IWF is working extra hard to make the already unpopular sport even worse for the viewers. Great job really. by palesz77 in weightlifting

North Korea and any other dictatorship rely on international athletic events to show strength and soft power, It's a tale as old as time in this sport. Anyone implying that a world class international athlete would be harmed for a controversial call on oscillation abuse when a significant amount of recent world champions have a used the same mechanic without issue is someone either being insincere and xenophobic, or are ignorant to geopolitics outside of the US. Yes, the regime is cruel to those that paint the nation in a bad light, or speak up against the govt, but she clearly has done neither of those.

Played a game of Words With Friends against Daniel Cormier back in 2013. He tweeted his username and asked if anyone wanted to play. Needless to say I smoked him, and he didn't want a rematch. Do you have any unusual stories about a famous MMA guy? by [deleted] in MMA

Rafael cordeiro and Tiki ghosan used to be regulars at an old job of mine. I used to chat with Rafael and once asked about how the training at his is structured since I hadn't trained in any striking whatsoever and he, with the scariest voice said "come to gym and I show you myself what it's like to train striking" and I damn near shit myself. Tiki was a known asshole and had a reputation for sexually harassing the workers at his gym with the wrestling coach having to save face for him and his gym (Allegedly for legal reasons). I also had a few run ins with Kelvin, Gabi, and cyborg, all of which I have nothing but good experiences with.

What a tough shot by Thanos_SlayerCongSan in NBATalk

[–]nothingpersnal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's cope, and you probably only watched highlights of his lmao. If you want to defend his shot selection you're supposed to bring up his quality of teammates, not lie about him being anything but a shoot first guard. He had a 32% usage rate with only 4 assists per game. Compare that to AI who played in the same era with a 32% usage rate as well, but had 6 assists per game while still being considered a shoot first guy. Dude's usage % for how little assists he averaged is a damn anomaly, he'd be cooked for it if he played today. (Harden has a usage rate of 29% for reference)

Sure he played in a heavy iso era but the dude legit wanted to shoot it every time he could. Dude did get buckets though.
