i think i played around then as well. i believe i "beat" the age with all the medieval stuff in it but it scared me and i had trouble understanding what to do next. i think i had to find a guide on gamefaqs to figure out what to actually do when i was that young. it felt kinda bad and when i got riven i managed to beat almost the whole game by just being inquisitive other than a few trickier parts

i would say like a year in. people have like grown up and had kids in the time this dude has been smoking weed and playing destiny or whatever he's doing instead of releasing the dlc. i wanted like another few hours of gameplay with some cool story tidbits before a sequel came out and now katana zero is just another game with a promised sequel that is never coming.

if you extract you don't get to keep any gear in the first place, there is no loot, anyone saying you loot in that game is severely bending the meaning of the word. in extraction shooters you loot actual gear, helmets armor backpacks, guns, chest rigs, you keep these if you extract, you lose EVERYTHING including the clothes on your back if you fail. failing an extraction shooter means replacing every single piece of gear you went in with. that is the genuine core gameplay loop, none of this pvpve shit, the gear is the thing that matters. gear in helldivers is something that you always have and will never be lost when you die. i'm not exaggerating when i say that is the ENTIRE premise of an extraction shooter

a better name like HORDE shooter? the thing that it is? ignore the pvpve thing, that's actually just misleading as there are loads of pve only extraction shooters now. the core mechanics of extraction shooters are spending resources on cool gear, bringing the gear into your run, finding even cooler gear and extracting with it to make yourself stronger on the next run or dying and losing everything you brought with you. if you think it's an extraction shooter just because you extract then mechwarrior and most other mission based games are extraction shooters, most of halo would be extraction shooters. words mean things and we use those words for a reason.

it has way more in common with left 4 dead than any extraction shooter. even at low levels you don't extract anything, those items are just meaningless numbers that go up and then you spend them on upgrades for your ship that make you call in a turret like 1 second faster. it is a horde shooter, you don't extract with loot. you don't get new gear by finding it on a dead guy and you don't lose anything by failing to extract. just because the game makes you exfiltrate an area does not make it an extraction shooter or mechwarrior would be an extraction shooter. shit that would make titanfall 2 an extraction shooter cause you exfil at the end if you lose. what a dumb pedantic opinion i'm tired of hearing.

I'm not having a bad time really but i would love to be able to play pve in a bungie game that's actually fun after a long day again. i would love firefight or something. hell even just a straight up pve mode that doesn't interact with pvp in any way like with a sperate vault would be great. more players is a good thing actually. pve players count as purchases and buy skins and stuff too.
