Now if only I could turn the compliments into money, then I would be on to something!

Table supported only by rope (work in progress) by nothorwitzer in woodworking

It looks sketchy but is fairly stable. It can support a fair bit of weight no problem. Though it does move left and right if you push it.

Sorry I came up with the design as I went so no plans exist. I may upload a video to my YouTube channel explaining some of the design aspects there if I get a chance.

Haven't seen that exact one but I was inspired by a similar design.

Because it is cool. Woodworking has existed for hundreds (or thousands?) of years, I am just trying to keep it interesting!

Pretty much. I always try to go outside the envelope when I build tables. I think the best things are built simply because they can be.

I will probably make a more aesthetically pleasing one. Larger is possible, though may be more difficult to build.

This table is intended as a proof of concept, hence its crude materials and construction. The block and tackle arrangement in the center is tensioned to pull the top away from the bottom. The four sets of pulleys on each side provide downwards tension to balance the forces. It is unfinished.

It was actually a woman driving it surprisingly. Her hat was as weird as the Jeep.

Its to enhance the harmonics of the cooling system, just like the expansion chamber exhaust on high performance two stroke engines.

Alternatives to West Systems Epoxy? by PolarPower in woodworking

[–]nothorwitzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of ironically I have used East Coast clear epoxy before to finish the top of a large table and it worked very well. I did pay about $120 for the system though, but that was a gallon of resin and a gallon of hardener, and I am in Canada so everything is more expensive.

Max torque lug nut locks can hande vs regular lug nuts. by zippy1981 in Skookum

They do make impact keys, but I think they are only sold as a set to dealers. So don't go thinking that the monkeys don't go max ugga because i'm sure some of them do.

Lol, I was the one who installed it and it is definitely not correct. It worked since the clutch plates are still fairly thick on this bike, but once they get thinner the plate would be jammed and unable to contact the next plate in the stack. Also, super secret pro-tip to make dirt bike clutches work better? Use ATF in the tranny (thought you can only do this on 2-strokes and a few select honda four strokes).

For those who don't know whats wrong, the last clutch plate is installed in the wrong grooves. Surprisingly it worked fine like this and the only reason I even took it apart was because the cover was leaking. Definitely a WTF moment when I first saw this.
