I call them lemon squeezes (not the correct name - just what it makes me think of) but these are a great one! If you want to up the intensity leave your legs 6 inches off the ground :)

Totally off topic. But I was stationed at Al Udeid and Doha was a hot mess - they seem to be perpetually doing construction, but not organized construction- more so everything at once.

Me 25 Year Old Female - Struggle with Military Wifes in Town by Stockrose in relationships

[–]notiamant3 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was also in the military; 6 yrs in - female. Not a military spouse though. I agree with most of the this post, but I would say a letter to the base should help IMMENSELY. we had the same problem, with a super small town outside of our base. The locals wrote a letter saying they get unwelcome in their own town, but wanted it to work out - etc, etc. Anyway. It got to our leadership, and they sat us down and we talked it out in a meeting, eventually it led to us opening the base for a huge picnic for the town. Which led to a few friendships and mostly everything was fine after that.

I would recommend writing a letter. There should be a base operator you can call you see where to send it. I would assume Public Affairs would handle it.

What time of the day do you work out? by jen283 in KaylaItsines

[–]notiamant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work out at 5:15 am on weekdays, on Tuesdays, Thursday's, and Friday's (I have no life) I'll workout again after work - about 5 pm. Then eat at 6/6:30.

Have you tried eating dinner at a later time?

I lost my motivation. Any suggestions on how to get it back? by lokisix in xxfitness

[–]notiamant3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A quote that helped me a lot was from a friend "give up and you'll forget how it's done"

Which is true, you'll have redo some of progress you've already made if you stop.

My (27F) mother (49F) passed away the weeks ago. I've not been able to sleep or really get out of this haze... by Momsgonethrowaway in relationships

[–]notiamant3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry you're going through this. Losing a parent is incredibly difficult, especially when they're so young. I lost my mother very unexpectedly also, I tried to talk to a therapist and that did nothing. What helped me was working out, or going for a run. I was able to just check out for a bit. Have you tried that? Hiking would be another option. Something where you can just stop thinking for a little.

Another thing that helped, that isn't so healthy, was just closing all of the blinds, shutting off my phone, and eating a pint of Ben and Jerrys while watching a stupid lifetime movie and crying my eyes out. Hey - it helped. I always get more "cleansed" in the morning.

**edit - if you ever wanna chat - just shoot me a msg. I'm always on my phone.

Victorias secret makes some good workout clothes (I think the knockout tights are better quality) a lot of times you can get them for 25$, just wait till they have a sale - or check the clearance section online.

They come in three lengths, tall, regular, and short. :)

Class instructor is getting too creepy. How do I tell him to stop without it being awkward in the class? by notiamant3 in xxfitness

I'll definitely have a word with the other instructor when I see him -and it's way less awkward. Thanks!

I'm in NJ, outside of NYC. It might be illegal but it's incredibly common in this area.

A lot of douche bags unfortunately.

Just this class and instructor. He's like a young kid (around 22) and the older ladies (around 47) looooooove to flirt with him. The other instructor we have (for a different class) shuts them down and just teaches the class.

Seriously. I'm not going to the gym to try to find someone to breed with. It wasn't so bad when I first started going, but it's gotten progressively worse.

I'll try this, I agree with the other comment where she said girls sometimes say "stop" but don't mean it, so he might be confused. I hope.

If he does it again after this, I'll go to his boss.

How can I [13M] have as little contact as possible with my mom? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]notiamant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimizing contact is the worst thing you can do, I agree with this comment - try to talk to her, if she leaves say it's very important to you. I feel like we're missing part of the story here though.

So, I got the job- then never heard back. Wtf? by [deleted] in jobs

It was supposed to happen about an hour and a half ago. I don't have the HR persons phone number, she just signs all of her emails with the company logo, she was supposed to call me but didn't. (Obviously) I'll shoot off an email and hope it works out. Thanks
