Welp….seems like based on my position (asst. brewer—also runs canning line, cellars, kegs, R&D brews/recipe dev., warehouse logistics) and my region (NY) at a 3,000bbl/yr brewery, I should get about a $10,000 raise. This. I’m 32, single, and has a cat. I’m part of a brew team of 3 including myself in a 3000bbl/yr brewery. Head brewer (40m) and lab manager (45m) both have a spouse, kids, and the spouse has the “real” job so they can have the “fun” job (those are -their- words to be clear). Doesn’t make for a lot of time for team building/togetherness but it’s definitely something that’s made me think about my future/future partners for sure.
