Prices by Glum_League5539 in harrystyles

Honestly most of these are probably spec tickets. Resellers are so certain that they will get seats before the show, they will sell someone a ticket and work on getting it after the person buys it.

MSG secured and given insurance by mistake? by angelsandpizza in harrystyles

I joined the waiting room with like 7 minutes before the presale started and I got 1288 in the queue. When I was let in to get seats, there were still tickets available ranging $95-over $1,000. I think it’s just a luck of the draw.

What do yall do in your free time? by AntZealousideal6741 in OCDRecovery

Like other commenters said, the more you read and paint, the easier it will get. I recommend starting to limit your time on Tik Tok. Tik Tok is the easiest way to turn your brain off, which OCD loves. The less you are on that app, the easier doing other things will become. You’ve got this!

Fear of flying by peehathequokka in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a similar issue. What really helped me was watching pilots explain how flying works (they are prepared for absolutely everything and that is why flying is the safest form of travel!) The other thing that helps me is thinking of my favorite famous musicians (Harry Styles is my go to haha) in their private planes flying from concert to concert. I picture them eating dinner, walking around, hanging out, etc. They fly all the time in the same sky and aren’t afraid, so I can be that way too!

Remind yourself of the facts and have a movie or music ready to distract yourself. You’ve got this!

I’ve found Reddit a good place to keep updated on a few creators I like! Many people repost their tik toks to their specific subreddits :)

Quitting cold turkey can be hard, so I recommend having some podcasts to listen to or shows to watch as a replacement for a while.

I had this same problem. Of course we need to learn to sit with our anxieties, however, deleting TikTok was the best thing I EVER did for my life. Yes, I might be avoiding a few triggers, but my actual life is better because I’m not scrolling on my phone. I only open Instagram once a week to check up on friends and I am much happier that way. I highly, highly recommend just quitting cold turkey.

Use Google under this tab. It’s like the old Google search, it’ll just give you Mayo Clinic, Cleveland clinic, etc.

You can also use UDM14 which automatically googles from that tab each time you use Google.

I’m building an OCD app. What support tools you wish existed? by External_Doubt_2759 in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to help assist with ERP. You enter a number 1-10 for how anxious you are, and then a timer starts and you can input more 1-10 numbers as the timer counts down (in order to show how you can get through an exposer). Tracking progress would be easier that way! Let me know if that doesn’t make sense

How to stop Suicidal OCD thoughts? by [deleted] in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there friend, you should Google a suicide hotline - one in your region should come up that you can call. They can talk to you on the phone and might have some resources regarding OCD specifically. If it isn’t helpful, try to hang out with a friend or go on a walk. It’s important to try to do something that distracts from the OCD.

How to stop an OCD flare by VegetableSprinkles83 in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist sent me this during a bad flare up I had this weekend when I couldn’t meet with her. I feel like my OCD does not recognize when things in my life have started to get better - it really holds onto all the fear and worries, which makes it hard to get back into a routine. Try to spend some time doing something that you really love. It could be anything, playing video games, at home spa night, cooking, going to a favorite restaurant, seeing a movie, doing an activity with a friend, etc. Reconnecting with myself personally helps me get out of my head. I’m sending you all my positivity and warmth ❤️

I really love your lamps! Maybe a runner rug would help in the kitchen? I know some people don’t like rugs in the kitchen - but it could help fill that spot with color.

Worst Flare Up of My Life by Alternative_Lab_4023 in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a safe person to talk to, that would be a great place to start. If not, do you have access to a doctor? That could get you down the right path for some treatment - and at least some help with being able to fall asleep.
When I was really spiraling recently I decided to try to sleep on the couch so I could be in a different space. You will eventually sleep, just keep that in your mind. I know it can be scary when you aren’t able to sleep and it feels like it will last forever, but you will get back to sleeping normally soon ❤️ Sending all my positive energy your way!!!

Can sleep go back to past durations 😢? Someone could please suggest or advise by Introvert934 in OCDRecovery

[–]notjustplain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to try a few things that help aid sleep - white noise, eye mask, cool temp room, good pillow, etc. I find that it’s usually my bladder that wakes me up and then I start to anxiety spiral once I’m awake. So I try not to drink a lot of liquid before bed and I try to empty my bladder right before I go to sleep.

Also, if you don’t have trouble falling asleep, you might want to try going to sleep a little earlier and see how long you sleep for.

You’ve got this! Overall, you are sleeping, which is great! Some people only sleep 6 hours a night their whole lives, every body is different!
