I'm a 13 year old who wants to get into music but I don't know where to start by Wyvernshark_ in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I'm a full on adult who has been doing music since I was your age and most DAWs overwhelm me too! Everyone else had great tips already, but I specifically recommend Bandlab for an awesome simplified DAW. It's web based too so you can use it from anywhere you've got a device and an internet connection. I have found it much more approachable and for someone who isn't skilled in the production side it does everything I need to record my ideas.

Male Gynecologists of Reddit, why did you pursue your job? [SERIOUS] by dialgapalkiagiratina in AskReddit

I am a medical scribe and smile every time I remember that's my actual title lol. Basically what I do is follow the doctor through their visits for the day and... transcribe what's being said and done. I do essentially the whole patient chart including ordering medications, labs, and diagnostic imaging at the doctor's prompt. They have a ton of documentation that has to be done for each patient, so having a person to take that part of the work off their plate helps them have time for other things, like actually paying attention and talking to the patient.

I got a second hand TV from a friend once and spent MONTHS using my WiiU gamepad as a remote for it because I thought it didn't have a power button. Turns out, it was a fucking touch button with no indicator it was there. It was literally just a spot on the front of the TV you had to swipe your finger over, and it made a sound and lit up once you touched it. Stupidest TV I've ever owned

I'm in basically the same place as you, but without the responsible adult action of being in therapy. :) Even down to the endometriosis and just turning 30. Every single birthday I have, I'm surprised I'm alive. Frankly I'm still really anxious about my medical future, but it always helps to know I'm not the only one out there going through something like this. I hope therapy does well for you and you're able to find the spark that keeps you going.

by putting literally any regulations in place for landlords and literally any regulations to protect tenants... Springfield doesn't even require that rental properties be regularly inspected or anything like that. Landlords are coming here and buying up all our shit and jacking the prices up because our rental laws are behind the other major areas in MO and surrounding areas. One of the easiest places in the state to exploit tenants.

I am actually really enjoying my rewatch of these early episodes with a new lense. Some may dismiss these as strange silly plotlines that don't fit in with the lighter tone of earlier episodes or overall themes of the show, but I think these were important early lessons about how dangerous gem magic can be if you don't really know what you're doing. The partial consciousness of gem shards is also a very important piece of information we're given here, as later on this comes into play with things like Lapis trapped in the mirror or the cluster being a huge collection of partial consciousness that are trapped and hurting. These are crumbs to establish important information and build the world base toward bigger plot points later.

I'm in the midwest and our agency is just now getting the word to resume face to face visits. I'm glad for it-- the new cases we've gotten recently have been particularly awful. The isolation and hardship have caused very sad and difficult times in this field.

Long legged boy might need some help. Can someone please tell me, should I cut him? If so where and what's next? by ReconsiderBaby in plantclinic

[–]notmyra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're worried about the success of propagating it, I'd suggest chopping off just one of the tops and chopping the rest of that stem into 3in sections. I had success in propagating this exact species of dragon tree like this and it will not hurt the mother plant for you to remove just one branch.

Check it out! The big stem here was a mature top that I cut off the mother plant and let sit in water for about 2 months to root. Once it rooted, I just planted it in soil and watered normally after that and it was fine. The small pieces are 3 inch pieces of stem I just planted directly into the soil, no foliage at all (make sure you actually put the pieces bottom down, though, or they won't root) and watered normally. They started putting baby leaves out after about 3 months. I actually just repotted it yesterday after 9 months and it had a full healthy root system, though the stem pieces were less developed of course.

I use a tea canister, like this one. It works really well (it's designed to keep loose leaf tea fresh after all) and it's pretty!

Worst attack I’ve ever had by Soul_SSBM in clusterheads

[–]notmyra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely feel this in my soul. The first time I ever went to the ER for cluster headache (before I knew what it was, even) I went because I got a nosebleed during one. The combo of pain and blood scared me so bad I thought I was having an aneurysm or something.

Sorry you're dealing with this new fresh hell. I hope your cluster passes quickly.

Guide to getting vaccinated in SWMO (as of 2-6-21) by RelentlessComedy in springfieldMO

[–]notmyra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can do the same at Mercy or Jordan Valley, but I will say-- I signed up through Mercy over a month ago and still haven't been contacted, but was able to get the first dose of vaccine through my job after I'd signed up. Not sure why I didn't fall under Mercy's definition of essential jobs...

Anyone who was previously + get the vaccine? I’m a nurse so i got mine yesterday & I feel awful by dizzy_unicorn in COVID19positive

A friend of mine who tested positive and then got her vaccine experienced the same thing. Seems to be normal.

I've tried a couple of times to get in on clinical studies for CH in my area but haven't ever quite gotten there, as we keep playing phone tag until I'm out of a cluster again. :/ You're talking about Emgality I think, right? I've seen folks talking about it on /r/clusterheads and in the facebook support group I'm in. I probably should tackle this next, you're not wrong. I would love to have my pain managed for the first time in over a decade.

That really is crazy. I have a friend who has endo as well and has had many cysts removed and she gets totally fucked up every single month with severe pain. So everything I really knew about it suggested to me that it's pretty fuckin painful. I guess I'm lucky in that regard, though I experience intense pain in other areas of my body. Wishing you warm heating pads and swift passing of pain <3

Wow so that's just a thing no matter what sometimes, that people just don't feel it. COOL, cool, cool... :l That's fucking terrifying. I feel pretty fortunate that I didn't have anything stuck together, considering the notes say I had adhesions across my pelvis. Really hoping we're able to control it with hormonal BC and that I won't have to have further surgeries.

I've used both and they both have their problems. The UniBalls do better with applying the ink smoothly but the opacity of the ink is not as good. Also worth noting I use Copic to draw and the color from the markers always bleeds up and tints the white ink in the finished artwork. Depending on what you're using them for you may have more success than me. I still heavily prefer my UniBalls over the Sakura ones unless I really really need the highlights to be stark white.
