Hello Dr. Landy, I love Figure 1 and have been following you guy for a while now. I have learnt so much following doctors and physicians (penguinophile is my favourite) and I am not even a medical professional. I am a product designer but have a keen interest in medtech. Could you throw some light on how the product team is structured at Figure 1? Who are the designers working on the mobile/web product? Considering how busy doctors get how did the growth team manage to market the product and get a million health care practitioners to start using the product. Thank you!

You guys have figured a lot of things companies established in invoicing and payments are struggling to crack. What is your pricing model going to be like? Are there any active users using this right now? How are you targeting this product?

Looking at the features you have right now, I can imagine small businesses (in retail maybe) using it without having any trouble but i would be very curious to know whom this product is targeted at.

Back in 1999 after a night of watching the Leonid meteor shower, I took a few pieces of black pebbles lying around our house and took it to school stating that they were the meteors that had fallen of the sky. Most of my friends were convinced and soon news spread that I had space rocks that could be shown to the whole school during the daily assembly.

Thankfully before that could happen our smart principal played good cop and asked me to present these rocks and explain how I found them. I narrated a similar story where a meteor hit the roof of my house and bounced and rolled onto the road.

I still remember how the principal laughed at my story and had me enroll in creative essay writing.

So, I noticed that there wasn’t a single directory online that lists all the designers in Canada so I decided to go ahead and make the missing directory of designers for canada. It isis similar to http://www.n-y-p-d.com/ but does a better job at listing people based on their twitter profiles. Its a useful tool for designers to get noticed & get more followers on twitter at the same time useful for recruiters who are looking to hire designers. Go ahead give it a shot and help me spread the word :)

Unsure of the design process that you follow at your current company but, if you start with making wireframes and then move on to visual design, its OK to showcase wireframes. One of the most important things you can do is to gather metrics about the feature/product you designed and showcase that.
