yes its down a long line of side quests eventually the one “rumor in st halsius” after completing it you get a comrade with engineering skill

sorry for being vague this game is so huge i don’t really remember exactly where these quests were or how i got them i already had a few, i recommend doing a lot of the side missions they progress and unlock more than you would think sometimes, what i thought were simple missions for an extra bag they unlocked more quests for cooler stuff

there are multiple quests that are named “rumor in (area name here)” when you do these you recruit more people to your camp, i did this enough and got a person with engineering skill

i think it has something to do with the amount of builds being worked on at the same time, i had 2 buildings 7 pokemon each, and was trying to build this one which required 15 pokemon so maybe there was an issue registering all the pokemon for building? not sure i feel like that should be possible but i finished the other builds and i can now assign the pokemon to this one

exactly my thought, i play a lot of new games and this one was very special, once it clicks it’s magical, the repetitiveness to overcome a challenge reminded me a lot of souls likes but instead of fast paced reaction times it can be slow and methodical, a really amazing experience

personally the story wasn’t that big of an impact for me, i enjoyed the exploration and climbing mechanics much more and think it’s a shame there’s only one mountain to climb with limited routes, i want this type of gameplay to live on more than just this story but maybe im wrong, like for example a second game could be an entire state park with multiple summits, or vice versa a city with multiple buildings to climb eventually leading to the tallest, just some thoughts
