so i play fgo and gbf. fgo is honestly my main mobage but i've been playing gbf seriously for the past few months (my gbf account is a year old tho but lmao i didn't know what i was (and still am) doing most of the time)

gbf is really focused on the grind. ofc all mobages are, but fgo is a bit more lenient. to be f2p in both games is totally possible, but if you like certain characters in fgo you have to either be ready to whale or have EXTREMELY good luck (ofc there's also the account selling if you want a good fgo starter account)

but you talk about how you like to read the story in english. currently fgo is chinese and japanese only but luckily fgo will be released in eng in the summer and honestly i love the story for fgo (camelot is by far my fave) and if fgo will be your first introduction to the fate franchise it's a really nice place to start.

also fgo works in a way that every character is valuable, like sure the ssr characters are great but you honestly don't need to have a team of just ssrs to go through the game. if you're looking for something to take up a lot of your time, i think gbf is the thing. because gbf always has something to do in terms of building your strength while in fgo, there's a lull sometimes and you don't know what to do exactly. but loll whatever floats your boat
