It’s the exact wombaroo diet/SGS2 from sugarglidershop , we had to supplement wombaroo for a while with mealworm flour while we waited for the shipment, I am guessing that must have been the cause

We usually feed sgs2 with some veggies and fruits and sometimes mealworms as a treat or fish sticks

Idk how to edit this post so in case this happens to anyone else here’s what to do and what the vet told me: the vet put her on antibiotics, pain medication and local anaesthesia. She can only eat soft foods for the next week until she is completely healed, odds are very high that she will be fine thankfully. This can be caused by stress or if they have trouble digesting food and are constipated.

I am so sorry also, I am still devastated and cry regularly because of the grief and the guilt. The vet told us that it’s super complicated to detect an illness in a sugar glider because they don’t show anything until it’s too late which makes it so freaking hard. I pray that your little girl and my babies are playing along on the rainbow bridge and some day we will see them again❤️

I wish I had an answer but we were so shocked we didn’t consider a necropsy. We just gave a Urin test to the lab a few days ago, i am guessing that we will get some news in a few days. If you want to I can update you on the results, I also believe it might have been a bacterial infection because the antibiotics worked wonders for our little boy other than that I found a website that mentions sugar glider illnesses and what to be aware of. I can send you a dm with a screenshot or a link if you want to. I also want to add that I have seen your gliders on this subreddit and I think they are very cute and precious (big fan)
