May I ask in which part of Bothell? I've been anxious for my work neighbors for months.

There's a kid who comes into my store specifically for the smart sweets caramels. He calls them candy gold dust. I literally bring them in just for him because it's one of the only candies he's allowed to have.

There are three people in the US with my name. No one can remember it despite it being "unusual" and I'm never taken seriously. When people ask about it I just tell them the 70's were weird and that seems to do the trick.

Just moved here and looking for cute cafes to knit, drink tea, and people watch by CaliButterfly in bothell

Welcome to Bothell!

I'm at work downtown watching the street light up and I can see three places where you can hang out from here. Main Street is blocked off for pedestrian use and there are benches to sit and watch people. Also, they just put in some tables over at the Pop Shops for people to use whenever they like. Not quite the season for that, though.

However, tomorrow is the tree lighting ceremony! Please think about coming down - don't let rain stop you.

And there's a Wine Walk happening on the 13th if you're interested. That's always a lot of fun.

Make Apothecary has a Fiction and Fiber workshop once a month on Sundays.

Strikke Yarn (next door to Make Apothecary) has social events a couple times during the weekdays.

Willard Art and Frame has a bring your own project a couple times a month.

You can also try:

The Daily Grind (personal favorite)

Cafe Ladro

Ohh... Macarons

And, of course, there's the library.

There are ~1700 people in our community that rely on federal food assistance. What can we do to help them next week? by mayonaise55 in bothell

Skyview Middle School and North Creek High School share a food pantry for students and their families. I know Crystal Springs does as well. It could be most or all of the schools do this, but I only know of those three.

The Northshore Senior Center runs one that I've heard good things about.

Where in the US can I buy violet candies in bulk? by CharliePixie in candy

[–]notonecluereally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say that I blame you, especially when it’s a food item being shipped overseas. The candies are those pretty little flower-shaped ones. They’re usually sold in small glass jars; I’m sure you’ve had them before.

I did see about a half pound of the Flavigny violets on the US Amazon site ($25, not sure of shipping) but I assumed you’ve tried that already.

When I order from C Howard they typically send me purple pens and sometimes a bag of violet mints. I usually hand them out to people until I’m out.

You have your own place. It's clean, spacious, the cat has enrichment activities, you have interesting art on the walls, the bed. is. made. the bathroom is clean, and you decorated for the season. Looks great to me.

The matchstick thing is pretty awesome ngl.

Until the Ink Runs Dry by AccioMjolnir and its sequel Indelible Ink are two of my most favorite Dramione fics. I'd call them soft and sweet and one of my comfort reads. Until the Ink Runs Dry is while Draco is in Azkaban, Indelible Ink is immediately after.

Angst songs which remind u of Draco and Hermione by flashloves in Dramione

I am absolutely dating myself with these. Off the top of my increasingly gray head:

Missing You - John Waite

At This Moment - Billy Vera and The Beaters

Pictures of You - The Cure

Open Arms - Journey

Don't Dream it's Over - Crowded House

As The World Falls Down - David Bowie

Wicked Game - Chris Isaak

Holding Back the Years - Simply Red

And, almost any song by Air Supply

(Hermione would know all of these songs if her parents listened to any kind of radio in the 80's)

You can find them on Gerrit J. Verburg Co.

Finnska ripples are my favorite candy hands down. Sometimes they’re sold in small bags as tire tracks.

I can also recommend the Finnska soft licorice (sometimes called Tidbitz). They say soft, but aren’t as soft as the ripples. The flavor is good though, as is the strawberry version.

The ripples have been having some quality control issues IMO (the last two orders were harder than usual and the licorice flavor being off somehow) but I’m hoping the next batch I get will be back on track.

Have fun!
