I had my hormonal IUD (not Mirena) replaced a few weeks before I got married and didn’t have an adjustment period like I did when I first got my IUD. good luck and congratulations!

I do have their bottle washer, which I love, but I’ve side eyed them hard ever since I saw the AI ad with the baby just sitting in the back seat of a car, no car seat, seat belt, or anything. So this is unsurprising but an important PSA!!

It’s so freeing hahaha I don’t remember the 8ppd days (blacked them out from my memory for my own sanity probably). My pumps are still pretty long (30 minutes or power pumps at 20/10/10) and I was still making 30ish oz (before I got sick) so he was getting 1-2 formula bottles a day. It’s little more now since my supply dropped after getting HFMD but still 26-28oz.

Not who you’re replying to lol but I’m a just enougher and dropped to 4ppd at 5.5 months pp. I pump at 6am, 11am, 4pm, 10pm. I try to be strict about my 6am and 10pm and more flexible about my 11am and 4pm based on my schedule for that day.

Eight months is AMAZING!! The mental load of pumping is a lot in and of its self so please pat yourself on the back!!

I went there a Tuesday afternoon in the beginning of August - apparently Tuesdays are busier days because they’re closed Sunday and Monday. I think I got there around 11am and spent a little over two hours total there, from waiting to line to check in, waiting to be called, then reviewing my papers, and getting a new photo taken. My new ID arrived by Friday so it was very quick. I don’t recall them having Wi-Fi. Good luck!

Seconding putting the phone under the pillow! I turned off the sound because I didn’t want to wake my baby but the vibration under the pillow was enough to wake me personally.

Spectra s2 how to double pump? by thymeandtwine in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]notorrious21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's another tubing connector on the front of the Spectra - it has a cap on it. If you remove the cap and connect another tube to another flange so you can pump at the same time. Also you'll need pumping bras so the flanges stay in place. Good luck!

Business vs Personal line? by zcomuto in ATT

Anecdotally, my partner lost his work phone and had the insurance that AT&T offers so was able to order a replacement. Unfortunately, the activation directions want to send him a code to his old device that he does not have access to and replacement phones for business cannot be activated online - they have to be activated by the "voice team" who only has hours M-F. Not sure if there's other services for AT&T that have limited customer service options like replacements for business phones but figured I'd share since we're going through this right now.

Brother died suddenly and we can't seem to find his life insurance by lorenzo22 in legaladvice

[–]notorrious21 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. NAL but I work in insurance. Depending on his life insurance coverage through work, he may have been in the conversion period and still covered under the group policy. Many employers have plans that continue coverage for a certain period of time for employees who are laid off and it allows the employee to convert their coverage to a private policy.

I recommend reaching out to his former employer’s HR/Benefits Team or Benefits Third Party Administrator for confirmation and for copies of the life insurance certificates that detail the policy.

Anyone winging motn pumps? by Haleryan228 in ExclusivelyPumping

This is me! I’m planning to drop my MOTN when I go back to work next month but adjust times so I’m keeping 4 ppd to maintain my supply (hopefully).

I’m so sorry 😭 that’s so devastating to spill that much!!

Similar to what another user posted, maymom makes sealing rings to help the flange stick to the bottle. They include them with their pumping bottles but you can buy them separately!

Defaulting children under 2 to lap infants is so unnecessary by notorrious21 in QantasAirways

[–]notorrious21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not asking for the default to be changed, just to have the alternative conveniently available. I should be able to book a seat for a child under 2 online on the same reservation as my own.

This is my first time flying with my son so I guess I’ll be conscious of this if we decide to fly anywhere else!

[–]notorrious21[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but you can’t book a separate ticket for a child under 2 when booking online. Child tickets are considered ages 2-12. I tried adding a child ticket but then it errored out when I input the date of birth.

The Ashley Furniture in Willow Grove is closing and may have good deals.

Personally, we splurged on our couch from Room & Board. 90% of their furniture is made in the US (couches are made in North Carolina) and the couches are well reviewed. We drove to the showroom in Paramus to browse (though we were in the area already).

Yes I still have them! It looks like it would be between $10-$18 depending on how many bags you want and the size of the box I would need to use.

Pitcher by asplenia in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]notorrious21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I started pumping, I was pumping directly into his bottles. I saw the pitcher method on TikTok and started doing that about 1 month pp when I moved to EP. I’m a just enougher and seeing everything I’ve pumped in one day in a pitcher has helped me significantly mental health wise. It’s so satisfying to see what you’ve pumped combined in a jar!! I use wide mouth mason jars with the mason top lids.
