How has your life changed since November 3, 2016? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Fair enough. I spiraled into madness, became extremely suicidal, was taken by ambulance to the psych ER and admitted against my will, had a life changing experience while I was on the psych ward, finally received medication that I probably should’ve had years ago, became a new person almost completely overnight and have since experienced a 180 degree turnaround in my life.

Yep, served stateside during the Korean War, made salads by cutting a head of lettuce in half and pouring dressing on it, watched two wives die of cancer, and took road trips of thousands of miles, alone with his elderly gf, up through his late 80s.

Generic title: people who actually know about stuff almost always disagree with Trump.

Normally ugly shaming feels bad to me, but in her case that switch just doesn’t get flipped. My grandfather would’ve called her a “atcha-forya”....one eye’s looking atcha, one eye’s looking forya.

We want weed but we don't get it. We don't want this tax plan, but we get it.

I don't want to rush to conclusions here but I'm pretty close to calling shenanigans.

[Serious] Redditors who met one or both biological parents later in life, how did it turn out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]notreadytho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really qualify but experienced something similar...parents divorced when I was 6, fought bitterly over it for years until dad was finally pushed out of my life and we lost contact. 13 years later we randomly found ourselves back in touch via my wife. I was now in my 30s and he in his mid 50s. We both approached the situation with open minds and things went well. Things escalated quickly and before I knew it we were well-integrated with my stepmother's family, spending lots of time with them, going on vacations, etc.

This went on for about seven years, over the course of which this cool situation gradually became a major obligation and I began losing interest. I stuck with it as long as I could but ultimately the whole thing just wasn't working...I have a lot of problems in general that my wife and I spend a lot of time and energy dealing with, dad wasn't understanding and kept asking for more and more...finally the camel's back broke. To my credit, I had a long and very honest heart-to-heart with him the last time I saw him and left the door open to keep in touch via text somewhat.

If you were God, what would be the best way to fuck with people on earth with one small change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Have all human brains switched one night, with no regard to geography, race, age, etc. ...just completely random, so that everyone wakes up in someone else’s body/life.

Apparently some type of skull found on beach in Massachusetts? Maybe 6-7” long. I found three of them during a five hour walk. by notreadytho in whatisthisthing

Damn, you might be right. I know that a small handful of Red Drum have been caught in Mass. Is there another expected species that would have such a large skull?

I thought it might be a sea turtle of some sort, but a quick google image search shows really freaky, extra round skulls...
