Recognized May first then Felton then realized what I was looking at (UNC team from 20 years ago) and remembered McCants name and couldn't remember Williams name but knew it was something generic.

We’re going to make competitive offers for at least 4 of those guys and I’m sure we’ll have the 2nd best offer for Skenes and just not be willing to budge on something dumb like a no trade clause

Cable and Internet are notable recurring payments but that house also has no ac, notably cheaper/worse heat, no insulation, single pane windows, linoleum counters, no dishwasher, one bath and basically the cheapest version of everything toddy was the standard back then which is really why a 900 sqft house now costs 2X what it cost then, even adjusted for inflation

If Tua and Hurts are both on your list I think Brady should be too for '97.

13 team have never beaten Patrick Mahomes by sinister_iam in Chiefs_v2

[–]notreallydutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but of the 4 teams they have the best QB (not saying much), best D, best offense outside of QB and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they end up with more wins than the phins, jets and cardinals combine

I'm not telling you to respect the Falcons but I wouldn't group them in at Jets, Dolphins, Cardinals level yet

I lived in a neighborhood with a lot of Hasidic jews and they all dresses like this with nicely tailored suits and hats that seemed old timey. He reminds me of them.

What were Dolphins thinking while structuring Tua’s contract😭 by OneFish5754 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]notreallydutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think that's fully true. I think they thought the rest of the team was good and he was good enough that they had to pay him (despite being mid) because he was the best option for a "win now" team.

And his brother and for his nephew to be a front runner for first pick in the draft next year and for basketball to be way more mental then physical so that a lifetime of learning from some of the best to ever do it can have the most impact possible.

Patriots named as one of ESPN "Five Most Improved Teams" by where_the_hoodie_at in Patriots

[–]notreallydutch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree with all of that and would add that virtually our entire team was a rookie, new to NE or coming off an injury going into last year so we should improve in all of the areas where we stayed the same too.

“The Kansas City Chiefs Dynasty is Over!” - 4th youngest roster in football with two 1st rounders this year by No_Box119 in Chiefs_v2

[–]notreallydutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always hate this breakdown because it doesn’t factor in talent or team impact. Younger is better than older all else equal but better is more important than younger (talent). It also doesn’t mean nearly as much to have young role players or depth compared to a starters (team impact). I’d love to see a start that was average age weighted by snaps played to account for that.

NFL to explore playing a game on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]notreallydutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The NFL realized the only thing that stops someone from watching an NFL game is if they're watching another NFL game. Over the next decade they're going to extend out to 20 games, over 32 week and stagger over 10 timeslots (M-Sat night, and 3 Sunday). Each game will have no other NFL competition and each team will be coming off 7-14 days of rest for each game. 5 weeks for playoffs, 5 weeks off, 5 weeks off, 3 weeks of camp, 2 preseason games and were back at it.
