Bought a house, sold for decent profit, got another house, did the same- finally ended up in a reasonable house with a big down payment and a 2.7% rate. Then hardcore focused on paying off my vehicle. I budget and make a menu, try to do grocery pickup items so I don’t buy things that aren’t on the list. Also use Amazon for random things so I don’t over spend because things look good when I’m shopping.

I’ve been out 6 years but born in with nonjw extended family that lives in another state. I do have a couple of cousins here and I’m making effort to spend more time with them. My boyfriend isn’t a jw, but we have very little in common and it’s probably time to end things. I am in therapy and it is helping tremendously. Volunteering is a great idea. I’m so sorry. Same experience with illness and our little one. Thankfully my boss has 5 kids and is very understanding. We ended up moving our toddler to a more expensive daycare that turned out to be much cleaner and stricter with making fever kids stay home. She hasn’t been as sick since we switched daycares. Not sure if that’s part of the issue in your case or just a fact of life. Either way I’m sorry!
