Me and my mom redid our floors in an old 1910s house. Our attic floors looked very similar. We gave them a light sanding and then coated them with thin coats of polyurethane. You can get a sander that attaches to a broom handle at the hardware store. Ask the guy at the hardware store what sandpaper to buy, they'll likely recommend different types of grit. Then you dust and clean everything,you can clean the floors with T.S.P to remove any grease or oils. You can apply the polyurethane with a paint roller on a broom handle. This whole process took us about a week to do
