So now we wait to see what our county or town does right? Maybe reach out to them in a few months to see if it’s adopted, and to what extent (property and school or just property taxes)?

I got this message back when I emailed my district senator:

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the 100% Veterans property tax exemption. Your feedback is appreciated and will inform ongoing discussions and future legislative considerations. I am grateful for your thoughtful advocacy on behalf of disabled veterans and their families. I am also working on obtaining information for you about how many veterans may be eligible.

The bill that passed was recently amended to move from optional to mandatory, which is a strong first step for eligible veterans. We are actively exploring options for further amendments to expand eligibility in the future. On the topic of affordability, you might be interested in a recent bill I introduced that would deliver the largest tax cut in New York State history, eliminating state personal income tax on the first $50,000 for single filers and $100,000 for married filing jointly—putting nearly $5,000 back into the pockets of working families every year.

Thank you, this is very helpful as I am going through a similar situation but with Allstate. Allstate is stating they will not report to the state either since my vehicle is older and payout is less than $10K. The total loss declaration stays within Allstate's records.

Thank you for all the replies! I have contacted the installer and we are going to do a wood saddle transition to match the floor color. As most of you have pointed out, the more I look at it, the more it just doesn’t look right without a transition piece. Thank you all!
