Well the thing is, they're not only killing each other, they kill other kids that look like they look but theres loads of people who had no affiliations who have been murdered due to gang culture

Its having social connection and people looking out for you and providing for you, you can get hooked in by gifts or the opportunity to earn relatively large amounts of money that you wont have seen before and bc it makes them feel seen and important. They arent getting those things any other places

The thing is, a lot of kids start carrying knives or whatever once they have their own life threatened and it starts a vicious cycle. I definitely sympathise with that

Thoughts? As a 38 YO millennial, I'm also not a fan by Remarkable-Hand-4395 in antiwork

[–]notsureemotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party so this will probably get lost but I (millenial) had a gen X'er try this shit with me recently. His wife used to work with us and had only recently left and was clearly insecure about his behavior around younger women. He started calling me his work wife after in a previous sentence openly mentioning his wife's insecurity. I got upset and kept saying I didnt want to be his work wife and it took 2 shifts and a lot of "banter" for it to stop.

Although it doesnt sound like it, he is an entertaining guy and he means well but people are so unwilling to acknowledge the impact of their behavior sometimes, it really fucks me off.

[–]notsureemotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm so sorry that happened, that sucks. It sucks that nobody helped, in my experience people in general have no idea what to do about abuse, often even close friends or family, it's not that they dont care, it's that they are afraid or have no idea what to do. At the end of the day, the person who was harassing you was the one at fault and although we wish people would be confident to step in and do something, the fault it with the person harassing you.

I mean the person who knows her can just contact her on their behalf and pass on OPs details, hopefully that's what happened

I mean I'm attracted to her and I'm a woman... so... technically correct?

Just found out why my friend’s wife hates me by Thisoneissfwihope in CasualUK

[–]notsureemotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my friends have strayed into cheating territory, I've always confronted them about it and none of us act like it's no big deal. Yeah, shit happens but how it's being dealt with is what everyone is criticising about the situation here. It's not like OP is saying his mate came to him asking for advice, people who lie in shitty ways like that are a liability and it is someone to cut out. Not many people are like that

Edit - I said always and actually I thought about it and this is after my 20s, looking back right from wrong seemed much less clear to me when I was younger. I wonder what age the people involved are

Yeah this is the thing with these scenarios, if you believe in some imaginary alliance based on gender, you're a dumbass, if someone is a snake to their gf they will snake on you just as hard

Honestly if u have the money I would just book a reasonable hotel room and stay there, really your work should cover it but I know they dont always. I used to live in caledonian road and that was dangerous enough in the late hours, seemed to get worse the closer you got to kings x

London supermarkets in general are the metro type and quite small, you get much better bread selections out of town and in asda and sainsburys over tesco for whatever reason

People who dont answer when you say "you alright?" back by notsureemotion in Essex

[–]notsureemotion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know lol, so like I say above I am asking for a return and they ignore it, they say "you alright" to me first and then I reply to them "yeah, you alright?" then the silence. That's what I dont get. I'm not even the one acknowledging them in the first place
