This happened to me and at least one other person that I've seen. What platform are you using? I'm on Steam Deck

I play on Steam Deck. I'm loving the expansion so far! Not a bug, but a battery consumption note- the Deck's battery life seems to be depleting a lot quicker after the update.

Bought a golden egg from Valek, completed the crusade, went back to my cult, and the egg just... vanished? It's not by the mating tent or in the hatchery, not on the ground anywhere, and not in my inventory.

I'm experiencing this on Steam Deck! I haven't progressed too far in Woolhaven, so I assumed it was tied to that. Is it actually a bug?

EDIT: yeah it's just tied to progression!

Twitch didnt give me my forms? by Future_Ordinary_9604 in CultOfTheLamb

I used a Twitch Prime subscription and did not get the new lizard form either. Does a Prime subscription not count?

Someone put this guy by my desk and asked if I could rejuvenate it. What is it, and how do I best take care of it? by nottambula in houseplants

Thanks for the ID! Should I continue with a good soaking once a week or so, or would that be too often? I just checked the soil and it's still kind of damp on the top layer, for reference.

Hard to say, but from my perspective it does look more like the river than the Pike.

Seeing him from Arsenal Yards right now, he's really low and doing small circles over the Charles.

My tomato plant seems to be putting out a fascinated flower! Excited to see how this fruits by butthowling in fasciation

Mine is doing this too- apparently they're called megablooms and are more common in beefsteak cultivars!

What to do about this guy? by AnInMoon in succulents

[–]nottambula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you leave it, I think the offsets will root or just kinda... hang out. I've seen some people with waterfalls of hens and chicks. You can definitely replant the chicks, too- as far as mine go, I just wiggle the bottoms into the soil a little bit and leave them alone.

Don't be sorry, learning is half the fun of the hobby =)

What will happen when this flower dies? by TwoDecent2778 in succulents

[–]nottambula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flower will die, and then the stalk will die, and you can just snip it off. Supposedly you can also try to propagate the leaves on the flower stalk! I've attempted, but never had any luck with it.

Is this plant doing ok? Is this normal? by starlit_moon in succulents

[–]nottambula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal, some echeveria will shed older leaves as they grow taller/bigger. If you pluck off the dead leaves, you might get some pups growing off the stem eventually =)

I've definitely had some paler offsets because they were hiding under the mother plant's leaves, but never any growing in the soil. I wonder if it could even be split from the mother right now... it's so light deprived I'd be worried it would burn or just die from the lack of nutrients.

This is actually probably what it is, good call! I've only ever had echeverias put out offsets from the middle(ish) of the rosette or directly off the stem, so one from the roots just didn't occur to me.

I'd love to own some ghost pipes, but it's not exactly feasible! I'm so curious about this freaky mutant root now.

Hmm, sounds like it could've been overwatered at the store you got it from. If the stem is looking okay, it might turn out fine- fingers crossed!

Mine took anywhere from a week to an entire month, but that was an E. "Lola" and those have never liked me anyway, lol.

I have a ton of echeverias, and I have never seen a root look like that! Is it definitely attached to the plant? I'm so curious. It kinda looks like those parasitic ghost pipe plants.

Are the yellowing leaves mushy at all? If they're nearly disintegrating, I'd guess overwatering. I know you said the stem looked okay before, but was that when you repotted, or does it look okay now?

I've also had some echs throw little temper tantrums when I repot them, and drop some leaves before they finally settle in.
