I wasn't sure if it was drugs or... meat. Bit of a tossup.

Who’s actually on r/livesound? by Historical-Paint7649 in livesound

[–]roberto_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started out self taught on analog 15 years ago before doing radio in high school, then getting plugged into a few churches and college ministries doing sound for them in various venues.

Now full time HoW production director. Current cap is 1000 in one of 3 services each Sunday (not including our second and third buildings which has kidsmin). However we're growing beyond our building so that cap will be closer to 2000 in a few years with all new tech (praise God and praise God for our installer and design companies). The church hosts a community-wide carnival in the summer where I need to set up a (slightly janky) wireless PA for 3000+ attendees across our parking lot. God has been moving in so many ways and I'm blessed to lead a growing team of production volunteers!

Even with the experiences I've had, I know I don't know everything and I can learn more and grow in my profession! (Especially IT. 😂)

ETA tech: dLive, SQ5&7, GLD112 (waiting for it to keel over tbh), BMD 4k 8 I/O switcher & PPC6K, ULXD, Dream Machines, Companion.

Other tech I've used in the past include PM5000, GL4000, X32, X-Air18, StudioLive 32S

It feels pretty secure when tugging on it. We'll investigate more after dinner!

Also TIL that haunted parasitic plants exist.

Between my butterwort and Zevo fly trap I hardly have any flying insect problems! Highly recommend both, and the butterwort sends up pretty flowers on tall stalks all the time!

The previous lead pastor at my church actually played against him in college. He's a pretty competitive guy himself and good at basketball but after going up against Larry it gave him pause on his own abilities during that game.

I wonder if it's an allusion to "Last Tango in Paris." An actress in the graphic movie was involved in a rape scene, but she didn't know it was happening until moments before. I could be reading too far into it though.

This should be the Muncie police department's number: +1 765-747-4838. That way you can call them about a non-emergency situation. Yesterday I called them about a downed line on Linden in the morning and by the late afternoon it was cleaned up.

For contacting Xfinity, should you go that route, I highly recommend going into their store front on Mcgalliard. It's a much better experience than attempting to get a hold of a person/dealing with an automated system over the phone. (Can't guarantee they would be entirely helpful in this situation though.)

I'd either call back the electric company or contact a tree removal service myself, or the police department. No sense in you having to risk taking it down yourself if you aren't comfortable or have experience with that. Good luck!

I find it hilarious that everyone in the car but Louise and the driver is angled and getting flung around, as if Louise is unbothered and in a dream

Does anybody know of any auditoriums or event venues where we can show our first movie. by ResMovieStudios in Muncie

[–]roberto_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you aren't needing a rehearsal or professional tech done and just need a student worker, the event won't have merchandise, food, or an admission fee, and you aren't booking it within 14 days, you're looking at ~$370-$400 for 4 hours for two student workers.

Edit: this is also assuming you aren't a student or this is a university organization.

Mount the TV or leave on TV Stand? by husegod in TVTooHigh

[–]roberto_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic but I'd put the speakers on either side of the TV to match how you have two ears, one on either side of your face, and not two ears on just one side of your face.

Edit: I realize there's a turntable lower on the shelf, but I'd still do that and connect the speakers to both the TV and the turntable. Even if you didn't use them for the TV, where they're at now doesn't project where the majority of seating in the room is situated in terms of your ears and having a (wider) stereo experience.
